I was just about to say that. Yes, Isiah has made some terrible decisions. Yes, the Knicks, before this winning streak, made me want to puke. Yes, Marbury has said a lot of foolish things in the past and all that body language crap isn't something to be desired. Yes, he deserved to be criticized for the Orlando game. But guess what, it seems the Knicks have finally turned the corner, and guess who is a huge reason for it. Stephon Marbury. No, I am not a die hard Steph fan, but he's a good freaking bball player, he's playing more defense and he's stepping up. It's amazing how 5 games, and the critics just completely shut up. Besides the defense, in case nobody notice, this is how Marbury has ALWAYS played.

i think during the 7-21 stretch, every negative thing about this team has been discussed ad nauseam. we are currently playing our best ball and 5-0 during the stretch. every one of us is happy about it. no need to keep harping on the negatives. my stance about moving steph still hasn't changed. it was never a talent issue with him, it was always the "intangibles" and also, to me, a big part is his contract. he's playing GREAT for us. GREAT. but if you asked me today that we could move him for expiring deals a pick or two, i would still do it. why? b/c curry/frye won't be ready for another 2-3 years. at that point, i have no idea what steph will look like with all this mileage on him. in addition, we have a VERY nice foundation here to build on. so it's not like we're left with nothing (like pheonix was the 2nd half of 04). and then most importantly, we'd be under the cap in 07. to me, that's a better plan for us. but that's just my opinion.

but for now, i'm watching the team, cheering FOR steph and everyone else and am happy we are winning...

I wouldn't still throw Steph under a bus, but I would still drive one over him.

if marbury is our best player then it by a marginal amount, alson the trade shed's salary with a low if any decline in overall productivity. the reason why I say this stems from the fact that I just dont see marbury as having that big of an impact on the knick's games.

well the reason why I said this is becuase it was true at the time, all marbury was doing back then was bring the ball upcourt pass it to curry, and then do nothing. david wesley could do that and for a tenth of the price. but now that marbury is actually playing the way he should, trading for wesley makes less sense. although to be completely honest, I actually wouldnt mind trading marbury for some expirings now that his value is higher and aiming for cap flexiblity in 07/08. I think it would be a good move in the long run for the franchise although we'll probably take a step back at first. anyway I would do this in the offseason, not now when we still need marbury.

give it up while we are all in forgiving moods..the reason we all want some negative downers on timelines for success because we have the team NOW. frye and curry are ONE year away. by then Crawford will have emerged and we take a huge run at it NEXT YEAR.
Lee, jackieB and reezy settling in.

We have begging you guys to stop kicking the team while it was down.

now you want to slow the train by trading our BEST player, so you can keep whining that its taking too long.

you all have been forgiven...now lets talk knicks baby.
all kool aid all the time.
