We should trade the rights to Frederick Weiss for Artest.

Seriously, there is no trade for Artest, A STAR, without trading a star or a player who is going to be a star and can contribute right now. That would mean Marbury or Frye. The Pacers wouldn't want Curry, they already have a low post player who is actually good right now.

They need to upgrade their point guard and/or wing position and that is what they will look for.

one question, do you think steph and artest can get along on the court?

artest has some issues, and now you got two nyc egos on the same team. it's just something i'm bringing up. i have no clue but artest is a psycho and he could punch steph in the face in the middle of a game.

Or they could get along great and prove everyone wrong.

As for taking back Bender, I don't think that's an option. RealGM was saying he is going to retire in the next 48 hours. We should take back Croshere no problem. If they want Penny instead of Davis, no problem. If they want our SA pick and Ariza, no problem. If they want our SA pick and Lee, I'd have liked to see what the kid can do, but I'd still pull the trigger on it. Would like to keep Nate and Butler, but they aren't off limits either as long as the offer makes sense. Frye and Curry we keep. And just say no to KG.

They can trade the huge expiring contract we give them for that upgrade. They also get rid of a huge longterm contract by dumping it on us in the process.

Keep dreaming, the Pacers want to win now.

So then they can do a 3 way deal with us and Sacramento for Peja.

Please, talking about the young players, don't trade Frye, Curry, and Nate. They are special.

Ariza and Butler are good bench players, but if needed to make this trade, you should consider it. I love Ariza, but if this season has proved something is that it will be many of seasons before he transforms into the solid starter many here believe, that is if it happens. Maybe he is just not a Larry guy. Who knows? Butler has been very good for us, but we have a lot of options in terms of big men and he is not that good that he stops us from making this deal.

Lee, when he played he was great. It would be a shame to trade him before giving him a real chance. If you can find a way to jkeep him, do it.

We need a Small Forward. Artest needs a change, and maybe coming back home is just what the doctor ordered him. Will the Pacers deal with the Knicks? We'll see, but this is a deal that Isiah should try his hardest to make it happen...

At this point Lee might be better off getting traded as he doesn't seem to have a role on this team.

Walsh and Bird are gonna try to blackball Isiah by making us give up more than most other teams.

Let's face it, they're gonna demand Frye, Isiah will tell them to go **** off.

That's probly how it's gonna stay, and Indiana will be forced to take a bad deal and send Ronnie to a team like Toronto.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Well, if they are so dumb to do that, its fine with me. Our team sucks and its obvious that we need an SF, but if they want us to give them a lot for a guy that ids a big question mark, then they are dreaming. Let them get a sh!tty deal for Artest, for all I care. We'll have to find other ways to improve...

That is the most likely sceanario. Obviously the Knicks have players that Walsh like or he even wouldn't even be open to dealing with the Knicks. I think Frye will be the focal point and of course he won't be moved. So I see Artest going somewhere else and sulking until he finds his way to NY. He pretty much said that the other day.
