Yes, it is a shame that Othella was left off the original. I think Felton Spencer was slighted as well.

I think it's all speculation and reading into nonsense. The media said Zeke and LB will hate each other and so any signs of losing people are going to make it seem like they don't get along. One thing I will speculate on is that LB is not happy with the roster. I'm prettys sure Zeke is not happy with the roster either. But I also knew he wasn't going to turn Tranvis Eisleyspoon into a winning roster overnight and I'm sure LB understands what he's been doing as well. The guy turned the "untradeable" roster into one with upside. Yes he brought on contracts(who cares we don't pay the salaries) yes he gave up picks but he had too. I'm sure LB is aware of this and as long as he and Zeke proceed together from this point I am confident we will see a winning team. Unfortunately it's going to take more than 18 games
I'm not as worried about that. The key is whether Zeke, Larry, AND Dolan are on the same page. If Dolan doesn't mind losing out on the revenue by missing the playoffs because it's in the long-term good of the team, then there's nothing to worry about.

I think the thing that binds both Isiah and Larry is that they both love to live in the spotlight and have a flair for the dramatic. Although I'm sure they've both had their squabbles so far Larry knows that if he wants a certain guy Isiah is going to try his damndest to get that guy on the roster, especially if its a big name guy. These guys live for the spotlight and the more they are in it, the happier they are. Sometimes this can be a bad thing but other times I think it works to your advantage, especially when you put two minds together that are full of basketball knowledge like these two are.

I think the chances of these guys bringing in a player that isn't going to work to the Knicks advantage is minimal if you ask me and they both know this. Yeah, we like to diss Jerome James and Isiah definately overpaid but the other night we saw what the guy is capable of and he is certainly capable of helping this team, Larry and Isiah might disagree now and then but I think they are certainly on the same page just knowing what the other brings to the table.

And Bip, do you think there's any truth to the speculation a few posters have had here that Larry just wants to lose now to get Isiah fired?

I don't know where that stuff comes from. Isiah and Larry are said to be friends for years. And when Isiah was dumped by Indy Larry invited him to his coaches camp and renewed his confidence. Similarly, after being dumped (or whatever) from Detroit Isiah came in and made Larry feel like a king.

I think the problem is too many people think Isiah is overly committed to his players. It might be true of Marbury, as Isiah has taken him on in a mentor/protege type relationship, but he's shown no compunction to move Nazr, TT, and Sweets (who Isiah didn't draft but was reputedly very high on). still, somehow people have decided Larry and Isiah will find themselves locked in mortal combat over personnel such that one of them will have to go and Larry will conspire to make sure it's Isiah? And this, not after some years of bitter rancor and infighting, but right out of the gate - since the first game of the season?

Wow...
