Can we wait 2 more years and then decide? Its all too much specultion.
Why? We're not reaching final evaluations of players; we're posting about what we would have tried to do on draft night as GMs. GMs don't get to re-do draft night after two years. Neither should we.

And GM's don't get to re-do draft night 8 games into the following season but that's ok for us as long as it's not 2 years later???

I would have sticked to Bogut #1. Pretty sure most GMs would do the same

big time...

Bogut is almost an adult already.

If he listens, he will be a good player in this league and that's more of a garuntee (sp?) that GM's are looking for.

Why do I get the feeling that you've been double teamed before? Huh fingercuffs?

I think Bonn's option to vote for trading the #1 for a package of later picks is fair. There are some years where there's a clearcut #1 and there's no way you trade the pick (like when Cleveland got LeBron). Other years it's not so clear cut and you're open to trading down or out. There was certainly a lot of rumors about Charlotte packaging #5 and #13 to move up to #2 or #3 and get Chris Paul or Marvin Williams. Dunno if there's anything to them, but. You also see high picks being traded for a package of lower picks on occassion, like when Houston traded something like #12 and #24 to NJ for the #8 (to get Eddie Griffin, in the trade that got NJ Jefferson).

I'd definitely take 5 and 13 or 7 and 16 over Bogut. You could possibly get Frye AND Charlie V with 7 and 16. (I didn't hear anything about any top 15 team other than TOR taking Charlie.) Bogut's not head and shoulders above the crowd. How could anyone want Bogut over BOTH Frye and Charlie V?

I went with Marvin Williams. I think his upside is bigger than that of Bogut and Frye. But he has look awful in the games that I went to. You can tell that he doesn't have a lot of experience. Bogut has been solid for the Bucks had a disappointing week last week and lost his starter position to a former #1 pick.
Lets keep it real. He lost his starting job to Joe Smith. Don't say number 1 pick, like its Tim Duncan. Joe Smith is a perenial role player. Bogut has not looked as good as Frye thus far. frye has looked like a star at times. Bogut has looked like a solid playe in his best games. Still, everything remains to be seen.

Joe Smith would be our starting PF. Bogut has a different role on the Bucks than Frye has on the Knicks--Bogut is mainly asked to rebound and do the crap work.

LB isn't asking Frye to drop 20, he's just doing it.

AND Joe Smith would not start on our team.
If you had the #1 pick, do you draft Bogut?
