It's nothing personal with you, Martin; this is a great web forum and you guys are great moderators. That said, do you really think it's just random that "a lot of posters" take shots at Briggs or do you think he does anything that elicits those shots? If you must defend Briggs and warn everyone who takes shots at him, fine. Maybe you can at least do it without personally attacking the poster you're warning. (Sorry but I don't know what else to call it when you say "Come up with even a tenth of the orginal content as he had and we would all be shocked.")

Has it ever occured to you that the bigger problem is that it bothers you so much?

he's most of the time rude and elitest; he rarely posts in threads other than the ones he creates and NEVER factors other peoples opinions into his thinking...Martin, I know what you are saying 100% though because I moderate a VERY large forum myself and I know exactly where you are coming from. But I think to shove all the blame away from Briggs is very unjust.

Probably because he IS snotty and elitists, but again... why does it bother you? Dont respond to his posts. The guy is kind of like Isiah. His draft and CBB knowledge his higher than any poster on any forum I have been on. His trades however suck, and he's got no patience.

Some guys go ON and ON and ON about him and its SO obvious that Briggs is under Bonn's skin and Briggs could care less about him or what he says. Briggs clearly comes off as a know it all at times and that bothers people. What clogs up the forum and kills threads is when people obsess about being right and about Briggs being wrong, and when that take precedence over talking hoops.

Fishy: not sure who you're questioning, but you realize the criticism of Briggs (the "he's rude and elitist" quote you have) was *NOT* from me but was something I was merely QUOTING, right? I'm no Briggs fan but I also don't get irritated by him nearly as much as tons of other posters here. The only part that bothered me (well for a few minutes) was the personal insult from Martin. It didn't make sense that a moderator (who's supposed to lead by example--at least I thought) would personally insult someone when warning them to be more polite to posters!
