Since you like numbers, here's a number for you: 0 That's the number of times people have laughed at that post.

I wasn't going for laughs. I was making a point. I am honestly concerned about your mental well being. You are either not right in the head, or rather slow intellectually, or a troll. Or some combination thereof. You be the judge.

If you believe you are arguing with a crazy person, who is really the crazy one?

Try again.

Sorry, I've manhandled you enough for one night. Maybe a few games from now.

We don't run on offense. Yet.

We executed more than not!

We are not a good team yet, BUT we are showing improvement even in small doses.

Winning ugly is actually the sign of a good team. Not ready to say that, but the jazz are well coached and im sure felt they had a better chance by slowing it down.

WE ahve lots of rookies and inexperienced guys.

Like said earlier, on the road, second of a back to back. We used to lose most 2nd legs of a back to back.

NOt gonna jump up and down, but not gonna benchmark the team either way on this win. I couldn't keep awake!

Wow talk about circular logic.

I for one think the win against the jazz was an impressive one. For a couple of reasons.

-One, we shut down their best player, clearly indicating a strong defensive scheme was in place and executed well.
-Two, we didn't get sloppy or tight at the end of the game when Utah was making a run to get back in it. Jamal hit a clutch basket that shook off the Knick's nerves and allowed them to play aggressively down the stretch.
-Three, winning two games on the road, back-to-back is impressive no matter who you play. I saw our starters were clearly exhausted but good coaching gave them the mental edge that allowed them to push through.
-Four, Larry Brown has always said that winning a basketball game is easy in principle. You hold the opponent to less points than you have. Presto, you win. That philosophy was carried out in both our wins. That's a much more encouraging mental state to me than, say, the Suns or Dallas's old philosophy of trying to outscore your opponent.

Knight, no one here said that the Knicks manhandled the Jazz. Jerry Sloan, the coach of the Jazz who was watching the whole game from mere feet away, said this. I don't agree with him, offensively, but from a defensive standpoint, we had our way with them.

Knight: Utah may have been depleted, but they were at home, are very well coached and did have Harper, Memo, and Big O playing solid minutes and doing nothing. And it's not like Brown was sitting our Rooks either. It was a solid win for a team with a new system and 4 NEW STARTERS. Any team on any night can beat any other team. It's just a fact.

this discussion is pure madness.

everyone...turn the page already. we won the game. it was brutal to watch and i'm sure lb had the team completely forget about it after it was over. let's concentrate on lb.

a win vs. the jazz in november counts exactly the same as a win vs. the heat in february (same goes for losses)

People should go back and read the game thread. All of the sudden we were the Pistons. It was pure madness.

Eddy Curry with 5 blocks is great defense.

I always look differently at what's said in a game thread. That's the place for voicing your adrenaline during a game, letting loose in the heat of the moment as it's happening. The posts there shouldn't be taken as general conclusions anyone's reaching.

I understand that, but not every fan is like that. Some fans can watch a team and have mixed emotions about a win or a loss even during a game. I was disappointed by the fact that we let Utah hang around.

That and the average post in the game threads during the game has the average of 4 words per post. "Great move by Marbury!!!!!!" "Rose sucks!!!" "Channing needs to play more!!!!!!"

Get the gist? It has no insight. Maybe after the game there will be some good discussion about the game though, after people turn the tv off, and are getting ready to go to bed.

I was disappointed by the fact that we let Utah hang around.

Them boys were tired from whooping the Kings. I'm just grateful for the win. Obviously the Kings were upset about the loss and were more rested to really smack the Jazz around. Either way if a team only scores 62 points than a manhandling is exactly what they got. They scored 83 on the Kings. And for closers which team has the best defense in the league as of right now? Does anyone know?

The knicks held the Jazz to the lowest shooting percentage (29.4%) in team History...
that's something to be proud of (considering defense was our biggest weakness in recent team history)...

I hope Trevor has a breakout game and forces the coach to keep him in the starting rotation.

He's saying alot of that stuff to the Utah media in order to light a fire under his team not really to praise the Knicks.

lol

*NY headlines: Marbury races into burning building, saves 3 children*

Knight: Anyone would have done that.

or

Knight: It wasn't real fire, it was all an illusion.

or

Knight: That wasn't Marbury, it was his do-gooding twin, Andre.

or

Knight: Yeah, but he didn't save the 4th kid.

or

Knight: He was just doing that to look good to the media.

or

Knight: Please, someone shoot me in the face.
Big LOL!
