Every one of those players except Kobe (who may have benefited from playing with Shaq) is older than Marbury. It reveals how premature this discussion is when people can think of only one player in the entire league Marbury's age or younger who is a hall-of-famer at this point in the player's career.

Marbury is only 1 of 3 players to average 20pts and 8ast for a career ! That alone warrants him in !!

Whenever Marbs gets traded, the team he leaves suddenly gets better. He has to shed that rep before he'll be taken seriously for the HOF.

No but 32 votes/opinions must mean that at the very least a good amount of posters thought that this was a topic worth discussing and evaluating. i.e. it wasn't as stupid as you thought.
