I want the Knicks to do well too, but I'm also not willing to ring the death knoll afet 4 games. Last season the Bulls stared 0-9 and made the playoffs. I think we've played disappointingly as well, but I've seen signs of hope, and want to see how most of the season pans out before deciding the entire team is crap.
I hope so too but the bulls had hinrich, gordon and duhon in the backcourt we have Marbury
Your perspective on the Bulls' players is filled with hindsight and lack of perspective. Those guys were not as highly rated after their 0-9 start. In fact Gordon was bashed repeatedly by the media as a bust and the rest of the team was labeled wack as they had been for years.
I'm not saying we will repeat their turn around, but let's see what happens first. Larry Brown is not a scrub coach, and knows more than most. He has a difficult situation to deal with, having so many new players and being his first season with the team.

I understand but I've been hearing the samething from fans for the past 5yrs and we have yet to truely rebuild and are still plasying overpaid veterans over youth
Hey I understand your feeling. But I think we should be carefull about accepting the hype so soon. This is not the same team that has been here for 5 years. We have had to go through a HORRIFIC period over that time but we have a real coach who has respect and can teach.
As a teacher I can tell you it's wrong to expect miracles overnight. Learning takes a lot of time, patience and persistence. What has been missing, IMHO, from past seasons is the latter. We have not had a teacher that commands the kind of respect Brown has, and has the experience and knowledge in dealing with these types of situations. He put himself in a tough one, and we have to give him time. If we care about this team, I think we have to show a little more faith than doomsday declarations after 4 games.
I know it seems like 5 years, but this teacher, Brown, and many of his pupils have nothing to do with the past. Brown knows how to teach and create winners, and we have some good players here, especially the young ones, which we have not had for years. We have a lot of vets who are not that great but have more experience than the young ones, making Brown's job more complicated. I am very curious how he is going to work it out, but he's not a moron. He certainly must have a plan, with the best case scenario and the worst. Right now it's leaning towards the latter, but let's see how we do over a few months.
I think the hope is still there, for now.
