Nate is just the part of the picture. All Knicks roster is overrated in local press.
From NBA standpoint Knicks are worth nothing altogether in this season. At least before they prove otherwise. Yesteday on TNT opening night Knicks and all Knicks players was not even mentioned once.
Sad... but they need too earn it first, including Nate...

I guess you can put the TNT network on the list of haters along with ESPN, CNNSI...

I don't think TNT stuff hate Knicks or anybody.
They just professionals and not bugged down with any teem... love.
They judge the basketball players regardless the team... and it is nothing positive so far about Knick players... except expectations.
Let’s do the judgments after 20 games into the season...

Nate Robinson is sooooooooooooooooooooooo over-rated.

He is a 5-7 2 guard for crying out loud!!!!!

I am almost ready to start not liking him the way he is hyped here.

He really is not a very good player, he is unbelievably athletic, and because he is so small, everything he does seems extraordinary and in its own way it is, but please stop with this talk of Nate running the point among other things. He is definitely the worst PG on our team behind Penny Hardaway.

And he has a long way to go before he can truly be effective for more than 10 mpg.

This iwas controversial, but I satnd by this. 4 points, 3 turnovers in 5 minutes. He's got a long way to go, I hope he is listening to Larry.

Once again. Nate has a long way to go. I wonder how many posters in this thread have begun to see what I see.

I began to see it in summer league when many around here were making Marbury trades based on NR's highlights.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Unpopular, I'll give you one. The Knicks are a bad team. Our young players weren't on the same wavelength as Charlotte's. Frye is a good player, but last night when they put a good defender on him, he was brought down a big notch. Eddie Curry is going to be one problem after the next with injuries. Trevor Ariza's develoment hit a fork in the road and with LB he isnt getting out of it. Nate needs to go to a team that plays a more wide open style and lik earl Boykins, a team is going to have to be a litle patient--earl was similar when he came into the league and thats why he bounced. Its going to take 2-3 years to develop nate. David Lee is a pure tweener, best thing he can do is put on 15-20 pounds and go pure 4. Whats to say about the vets Marbury is great Crawford is good but inconsistent.

we made a lot of moves spent a lot of money but we are still sitting at the start line.

we have some pieces. there really isn't a true superstar in the midst of our young'n's as of right now (possibly frye, curry down the road). i think it's OBVIOUS to almost everyone that we are a team built to play uptempo...but we're not allowed to do it. it's not just us, but it's all analysts and media as well.

TURN THE PAGE already. it's been 5 years since ewing has left and we're still scrambling. look around the league - charlotte, toronto, new orleans, milwaukee - teams that are young and are allowed to play aggressive and up tempo. why can't we be playing like that? we have more "talent" yet we aren't maximizing it.

lb needs to STFU. isiah needs to step in and say something to lb. this is very ugly. we all knew it was going to be a process and take a while but i don't think any of us thought it was going to be this ugly.

after every game, be it a win or loss, i could take something positive away. i took away NOTHING from this game.

the pheonix suns just started boris diaw at center and just beat the rockets. WHY CAN'T WE PLAY LIKE THAT?!?!!?

* because Isiah made the Marbury trade. you need quick thinking high energy ball-handlers to play uptempo. Marbury isn't either. Craw has good passing instincts, unfortunately his energy level seems to rise (with the rookies) and fall (playing next to Steph) over the course of a game. KT did say most of the organization was scared of Steph...outshining him on the court is a good way to draw his ire (see comments about Frye executing his part of the pick and roll).

* because wing defenders and rebounding guards isn't a priority on the trade/draft list so steals and long rebounds to run off aren't there.

* because the only floor running big men we have are 2 rookies, 1 of which is getting abused playing a tweener 3 on the defensive end.

I like Nate's upside more than I like Crawford's, for what it is worth. At least Nate plays defense and has some cojones. JC is soft and belongs in the West (except San Antonio, who is def not soft).
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Neither is the situation in Iraq. Wanna blame Steph for that too?

Hitting a lucky shot doesn't change the fact that he's extremely overrated and has a long way to go before he's a legit NBA player.

I still stick to my stance that Robinson will have plenty of ups and downs as a rookie. Now if NR has 10-15 games in a row like the last one, my tune might change.

Reminds me of the game winning shot Jamal hit against Houston early last season. Everyone was excited about him for awhile...
