well, i understand the darko example, but on the flip side, there's the tayshaun example. so it's a moot point.
I read this blurb out of context, so I am not really trying to argue anything, but I would say that Darko and Tayshaun are not really comparable. Tayshaun played four years of college ball and had at least one NCAA championship:
Tayshaun Prince:
COLLEGE::
Named Second Team All-America by The Associated Press as a junior and Third Team as a senior…Originally an early entry candidate for the 2001 NBA Draft, but withdrew his name from consideration…Three-time Kentucky Team MVP…Finished seventh in Kentucky history in scoring (1,775 points), second in three-point field goals made (204) and attempted (621) and fifth in blocks (142)…In 135 career-college games, averaged 13.1 points on 45.7% (648-1,419 FG) shooting, with 5.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists
Despite that, LB barely played Prince in his rookie season until the playoffs, where he got a chance and distinguished himself.
Darko has a couple of years before he has the basketball maturity of the rookie Tayshaun Prince.
