It's great because now I know when I see last post islesfan, it's gonna be something extremely conservative.

Good balance of Kool aid.

no doubt

12/5/1 in 50 games. I predict that Curry will miss extended time at some point in the season.

NO, not you with the gloomiest prediction of them all!

You can't take him seriously, if the Knicks somehow landed Kobe Bryant he would predict the same thing.

12 pts/5 rebs/1 block??? Wow, how gloomy is that?!? How can anybody take numbers like that seriously?!?

Eddy Curry's Career Avg's - 11.8 pts/4.9 rebs/0.9 blocks

Oh wait, nevermind.

So you're predicting that Curry's gonna regress from his performance the last two years? He's been one of (if not the) most efficient scorers in the league in the preseason. What indication of regression from the last two years do you have?

New Team with a lot of guys who like to shoot

New more demanding coach who won't accept his laziness on the defensive end and poor rebounding

None of that has gotten in the way of his scoring in the preseason

We have the best coach in the game. What guys like to do is irrelevant. What they will be doing is playing his way and that means giving the big man the got damn ball!!!! And that means 18 & 8 if he underachieves. 20 & 10 if he does everything Larry asks him to do. And more importantly it means alot of wins for us.

It's the friggin preseason. How many times have people said "(Non-Knick) has been awesome in preseason" and a poster turns around with same old "It's only preseason" line.

Now i don't think Curry will be as bad as Islesfan does but i don't see him going 20 and 10. If he's healthy i see him around 16-17.5 points 6.5 to 8.0 rebounds and avg like 28-32 mins

Assuming Larry distributes minutes the way to he will come opening night (excluding Q) I think it's fair to say we need to really start taking a look at Curry and Frye (and Robinson for that matter) to see what we're going to be getting in regular season gametime situations. Not saying that the numbers they put up tonight will indicate their season's average but rather what they will do at both ends given regular season's minutes.

Only time will tell what Curry will be giving us by midseason. I have no reason to believe that Curry and Larry will not be a good fit at this point. I'm liking the potential of the possibilities actually.

That's pretty much on par with how I see him too.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

The only point was that we haven't *seen* anything to expect lower scoring than what he put up the last two seasons.

I'm not trying to compare Scott Skiles to Larry Brown becuase there is no comparison but Skiles is a pretty demanding coach. He sat Ben Gordon in Game 6 of the playoffs last year(a game they ultimately lost) for playing out of the offense and being lazy and Curry never got that from Skiles so I don't think we should have to worry about that. I'm starting to think that if the Knicks somehow managed to get Tim Duncan and Dwayne Wade that you would be against that move as well.

Knicks fans are never satisfied.....They complained about Ewing when he was here too...However, we all know that there is two types of knicks fans, the fakes (the Nets fans) and the real Knickebockers

craws 16/5/5
Q 15/6
Big Game 6/9
Reezy/Lee/Frye combined 20/20
everybody else contributes...I'll be fine.

people are forgetting two factors here. one, curry has a history of tiring quickly so he will not be in a game for over 30 minutes. second, we have probably two other players who will score in the 20's. do you think we will have three under brown's system? i doubt it.
here is my predictions for the lineup:

marbury: 21ppg
crawford: 18ppg
curry: 16ppg
richardson:15ppg
rose: 7ppg

Hey Jazzman, it's been a minute.

How many minutes do you guys see Jerome James getting?

- If he helps the Knicks win that's good - no matter what his stats are.

- Who besides Garnett and Duncan averaged 20/10 last year? I'm happy to have Curry but he's coming in out of shape after a long layoff and he has never come close to 20/10. Your setting yourself up to be disappointed it you really expect that.
