Well I'm glad you edited to include Big Game - that's showing some respect!

Hey, i think top-flight PF is going to = Sweets and Frye. And Game's gonna allow Frye to split between 4 and 5. Home-grown youngbloods. It's gonna be nice.

Haha, Big Game getting some respect on the Knicks boards. He must be ecstatic!

I hope your right about Sweets and Frye, Marv. Sweets has the makings, he just has to be able to stay on the court, hopefully Mr. Brown can finally get that through his thick skull. Frye will be good but I just hope people don't expect 17 and 10 right away, like SOME do.
I cannot rely on Sweets and Frye. Sweets hasnt shown us anything to make us believe he will be a top flight PF in one year. He could be an average PF if he stays out of foul trouble but top flight, not close. I dont dislike Sweets but I dont think he has what it takes to be a big time PF. Maybe if he gets more playing time this season, he will start to shine and become an awesome PF. Frye is just a rookie, let him play.

actually silverfuel, it's the opposite in my assessment of sweets. offensively, i think he can easily put up 18 ppg if given the rock. EASILY. 18&10 are attainable #'s for sweets if given the time. yes, he has to stay out of foul trouble but i think he can learn that. but skillswise, those #'s are not outlandish for him.

That would be awesome. I would be estatic if he can come close. I would be very happy even with 16 and 8. He is a good rebounder and a decent shotblocker. If Sweets can get 14 to 18 points in the paint, we will be a good team.

I know Sweets has the ability in him, its just can he stay on the court. Between foul trouble and enlarged stomach trouble, Sweets hasn't shown the ability to stay on the court but if you watched him in college like I did and even in the NBA you know the guy can score the ball in the paint.

Mr. Sweetney, if you read these boards, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, just stay conditioned this season and you will REAP the benefits of a new lucrative contract and you will put the Knicks into prime playoff positioning. Just lay off the fastfood and you will see huge point and rebound totals for yourself. Do it for us Knick fans!

haha, maybe that'll work.

All right, and since he's reading this, just 2 more small things:

1. Get mean in the paint. Bone it like you own it!

2. Please don't; chase the little f**ks out at the top of the key. Just stay put!

Didnt he get 19 pts in 1 quarter b4? IIRC he took only 1 more shot in the next 3 quarters after that

He has big game ability but he's not a star player. He's be perfect on a team with a star Center and SF. He could be a gap filler, but he's not a go to guy in the paint.

I'm thinking more and more we may end up with Dampier.
Which wouldn't be that bad if we only had to give up an expiring deal and a PF. Which should only occur should our current PF's prove not worthy.

I'm a little worried about frye, however, I'm pretty optimistic that LB can teach sweets and JJ the difference between a smart and stupid foul.
