The difference between Frye and Green is that you can't teach size, we needed front court help desperately.

Yeah, just like Portland did when they took Bowie.

I wonder why Cleveland took Lebron when they already had Miles & Ricky Davis

ok BP you go on record then that Gerald Green is the next MJ.

Meanwhile I'll go on record that SuperFrye is NOT the next Sam Bowie.

I don't know if Green will be the next MJ. If I ever do, I'll make sure you are the first to know. But if you think that was the point I was trying to make, feel free to dwell in that thought

Gerald Green captures my imagination more than Frye does. I'd pay to go see Gerald Green play. I'll let you tell me about Frye.

I loved watching his dunks on that footage.

Doesn't make him the right pick for this franchise.

I can live with Gerald Green not being the right pick for the franchise.

I haven't been around he as long as many of you, but it the general opinion that Frye is not going to be a player? If so I can't believe there are that many of you who just can't see the skills this kid has. Don't give me that he got pushed around stuff. He also did his fair share of scoring on people and getting fouled. he just needs a little PT to get acclimated. He's already working out hard and he's one of the strongest guys in the draft already.

You know he weighs more than Camby does and he seems to have found a niche in the league. Heck Rasheed only weighs 230! GIve the kid a chance for goodness sake. If Nazr can avg 10.9/8.1 for the Knicks i'm positive that Frye can eventually do better and by the way he's a bit bigger than Nazr too.

I was tempted by Green, but what would he have done for us really? He's so far away from really being able to carry a team as some of you think he could some day. Besides if we want highlight dunks we've got N8 for that :)

Let's hope the wins are just as sweet. That justifies the big money.

Carry a team. Carry a team. That's all some of you live for.

You'll sit and preach about these 39% shooters all day but if a high schooler can't come in and carry an NBA team--with guys that make 10 and 15 million dollars already on it,

then we shouldn't or I shouldn't want Gerald Green on the Knicks.

Stop causing confusion and get your mind right. Tim Thomas doesn't carry the team but if I can watch Thomas then why can't I watch Gerald Green razzle and dazzle me, a FAN.

Maybe you guys should stop trying to be accountants, GM's, head coaches, owners, sportswriters and go back to being what you are, FANS

Some are even proposing trades that will bring in Kevin Ollie and Eric Snow,

Man, you couldn't get me to go and watch Ollie and Snow play basketball even if they were playing at the gym down the street and giving away free posters.

You say Larry Brown is a great coach who gets the best out of his talent. OKAY THEN!

Do the math.

That's cool. And my thing with Frye is this - dude is 6'11" and coming off an NCAA tournament where he posted games of 17 points, 10 boards, 5 blocks; 15 points, 10 boards, 3 blocks; and 24 points, 12 boards, 6 blocks. While shooting 65% from the field for the tourney.

And totally scrutinized and dissected by our GM NOT named Layden and without ANY input from a scout named Tapscott.

This is IMO EXACTLY who we needed to draft at 8.

I like Channing Frye. But I would've rather Isiah picked Green over Frye. You're happy with Frye over Green.

You say tomato. I say tomatoe. We don't have to fight over it.

But just about every last one of you had Green going in the top 3 or 4 in your mock drafts. So, doing the math tells me that YOU,

Y-O-U,

considered him to be one of the top players coming into the league.

Now, he can't carry a team. He can't carry a team. If Lebron needs help then why can't Gerald Green need help too?

You wanted young and athletic like your GM does but now he's too young to make a "difference". You wanted rebuilding but you don't want to rebuild with the top high school player in the nation. I see ya.

You have the coach who can get the best out of his talent but it doesn't make sense to try and get the best out of a player with the CEILING of Gerald Green. (That's your favorite word, CEILING, right?)

You lose your mind over a Nate Robinson dunk but when Gerald Green does an explosive between-the-leg dunk, it's just a dunk. Just a dunk, right? I hear ya.

I'm going to be right here when ESPN show the highlight of Green doing a tomahawk in Frye's grill.

i have no ideal why 17 team said NO. Why did a entire first round pass on Gilbert Arenas and Tony Parker?

i don't live my life analyzing stuff like that.

and Knight, you're lost. Go and get your mind right. Stop everything you are doing and go and get your mind right. i'm serious

Thanks, that's very insightful. I think I'll go watch some Gerald Green dunk replays with some Jay-Z playing softly in the background.

It only took him like 6 years and two teams, why wouldn't we want that?
