Im sorry. I dont feel good doing this, and im not normally an angry man. But ive been here a long time. Ive seen Playa come and go and come back. We have people here with attitude, people who like to preach, people who like to be logical and people who like to make prophetic prediction. But Ive never EVER gotten as upset as I get when I read this guys posts. He just sounds to me like a horrible person, always looking to put people down, always trying to be superior and always, ALWAYS the damm insults! This forum is a major part of my life (sad huh?), and I feel that its being ruined by a sad bitter man. I feel like I can state my opinion in this forum, and I hope the mods dont delete this thread, because Im not doing it to be an axhole, I just think that this guy is ruining a good thing, and if theres anything I can do to stop it, I will. I will be voting to ban him, because I think this forum is better then people like him.

I think what people are urging you towards when you have these feelings is example A.

You know the score, this is a liberal forum in terms of ideas, but I think what keeps it that way is the general respect of others as people, if not for their ideas as fans. I love Islesfan and his posts. Best case I think about something, worst case I laugh and dont respond.

Btw, my GP % isn't that low man.

I'd say half of what I say is solid, the other half not so much.

Not a smart move IMO.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

you gotta pay attention now. 2 people just told you at the same time that if you tell people they're not bright then you're being rude. it doesn't have to be an insulting name, it's telling people that there's something wrong with them as a way of trying to emphasize your point.

bobs - I give you one advice I give to my children. Before you do or say anything to someone else, check to see if it is done or said to you. Would you like it? If not, then you should not say it or do it.

Debates are cool. Different points-of-view makes life that much more intreresting.

the BS, and my last note on this is you wouldnt talk to me on the street like you do some in this forum, NYer or not. Any NYer knows you dont take certain tones, especially with other NYers as the kind of remarks you make would usually be followed by a fat lip.

The thing I think he really misses is that his opinons are not reality, they are just opinions. He becomes so convinced of his opinions and perspective that he really believes they are absolute truth.

When you disagree with him its because:
1. Obviously you need to re-read his post.
2. You are stupid and/or ignorant.
3. You just don't get it.
4. You are a homer (whatever the **** that is)
5. All of the above.

no one wants to be insulted, and if he isn't mature enough to understand that and show common courtesy, he should be banned. I think he should be placed on some kind of probation where some fraction of his 2.9 million posts are monitored.

I don't mind a difference of opinion, but he is an a.sshole and he needs to learn not to be.

He posts roughly 31 posts per day, which is totally fine because he is passionate about the knicks and often sparks up some lively conversation and debate. However, no one wants to be berated for having a difference of opinion with a kid who thinks he knows more than the rest of the basketball world. His attitude must stop or he must go.

I felt it necessary to vote with firefly because if this is all he has in his life we must make it more palatable to him. On the other, we must question how much Bobs has in his life if averages out to 1000 posts amonth.

all right i gotta split but i'd say one last thing - one of the things that is genuinely cool about this board is that you'll get 4 pages of postings on a topic like this of guys trying to work it out with you. corny or not, there is a bit of a community here and guys do try to make things work out for the common good cuz it's a helluva fun place to post.

hope you end up deciding it's worthwhile to make a few changes and stay.

I think this thread has run its course. Lots of old guys - you know who you are - have some good advise.

Funny thing is this whole thread is a personal one and the point of the thread was NOT to be too personal. Poll, IMHO, is a little over the top.

The question I have is whether or not this forum is democratic--can we just vote somebody out? Or is it ultimately up to the two-headed monster Andrew/Martin to make the decision? Anyway, I think being a part of the discussion on this board is a privilege and anyone who hinders our free exchange of ideas about the Knicks--by attempting to make other people feel unworthy to share their thoughts--doesn't belong. The question is how much bobs does this.
