I LOVED miles up untill he went off on one of my favorite PG's of all time, Mo Cheeks.

After that, Eff em.

Buddy, you just said you like both him and Timmy.

Really, no offense here - but you've got to be one of the most crooked Knick fans ever.

"Contract year monstrosity"? Who are you - Scott Layden's evil twin?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I'm starting to really doubt some of you Knick fans.

You hate Timmy, but LOVE Miles?

That's just wrong, on so many levels.

LOL If you catch someone being hypocritical, call them on it. We all get a good laugh when someone ends up with the proverbial foot in the mouth.

I don't like Darius or Tim, but they're completely different players. Tim is one of the best shooting small forwards in the league who brings little else to the table. Darius is a horrible shooter, a terrific shotblocker, good scorer, solid rebounder, good ballhawk, nice defender. Just because they have similar frames (Darius 6'9" 220lbs; Tim 6'10" 240lbs) and a similar confused look on their faces at times does not mean they are the same player.
Timmy looks like Beetlejuice on steroids from the Howard Stern show.

Darius looks like Rico Suave and the Predators love child.

I don't like Darius at all. We don't need another headcase.

The only player that seems to be available right now that I would trade JC for is Al Harrington of Atlanta.

I like his game, he's a good player, you can't deny miles that...I've seen him play defense, get the board, coast to coast it and dunk it...rare even in today's NBA.

I just don't like players that have no knowledge of the history of the game...Mo Cheeks has a title with Dr. J.

That alone means shut up and listen...if he came to the knicks, he'd be cursing out brown by December.

That's all I'm saying, I can like a player, but if he's not on my team, I don't like em...(I had a post back in the day to this effect).

So, while I'm down with you keeping me on my toes and looking for every contradictory (sp?) statement, as long as I get to explain myself, I got no worries.

It's not like I write for a living.

To sum it up:
I'm a sixer fan from Dr. J days (growing up in Jersey will do that to you), then LOVE BARKLEY (I'm tired, is that spelled right?) actually, I like barkley more than I like ewing...not particularly fond of Patrick (I'm dead for that one), but Loved the Riley's knicks, and hated Jordan's bulls, I hate phil jackson too btw.

After awhile, you realize it's more than just rooting for a team, you're rooting for the city. So, I've been a knick fan since the Camby/Spree/H20 days. LJ and yeah, even layden's McDice crew.

And, every year, I'm proud to say (like my misguided mets fans) they will contend for a title this year.

As a yankee fan, I remember the 80's, and how we were awful, but competitive...in all honesty, that's all I really look forward to, a good game.

Jordan killed a ton of players hopes for a title (kemp, theGlove, barkley, Ewing, etc.) so winning a title in my generation (post Dr. J) isn't as important, however, winning one (like Dr. J) to me is what it's all about.

This year, we have a chance. As good a chance as anybody else.

Unless we were swept by another team in the East last year, we can beat 'em.

RV -

I used to be/still am a huge Barkley fan.

Personally, Larry Bird was the greatest player of all time. I'm a humongous 80's Celtin fan. Greatest frontcourt of all time (and ever will be) - Mchale, Parish, Bird.

You know who I used to hate (and still do more or less) with a passion I can't even describe -

Michael Friggin Jordan. I also hate Scottie Pippen. I also hate Phil Jack-some. I remember in the mid-90's I went to MSG and saw Ewing steal an inbounds pass from Jordan just before the half and dunk it.......then fall on his knees. lol. classic.

Parish looked mad all the time. Mad cuz he Ugly! (Arsinio Hall)

I could not stand both Magics Lakers and Birds Celts. But had mad respect for both! Knicks never contended against either very much, so theywere just out there!

Hated Bulls and was green that our knick Phil was with them.

After two titles, I had mad respect for their game and michaels mental abilitys. That man was one tough dude!

Maybe that was the slight edge they had over the knicks. Mason and Starks were tough dudes, but mentally soft when it mattered. Fatique makes you do stupid things!

Its old news.

This whole miles thing is silly. I'll boil it down to the fact if Larry really wants him, then I expect he will behave as he should.

But I don't want this kid all things being equal!

Miles is no big deal. He has been in the league six years and done even less than TT. He averages about 12-13 points and 5 boards a game. He shoots a decent percentage because he has little outside game (no real 3 point range for example) unlike TT. If this is what you mean by efficient than I want someone who is more efficient than 13 and 5. This guy was supposed to be a stud and has grossly underperformed. Sould familiar? At least TT has versatility inside and outside, 41% from 3, and even in a "bad year" and taking all those 3's managed to shoot 44%. TT could actually play 2 guard and create major matchup problem, something LB might exploit which the other coaches didn't have the courage to do. Miles, who one poster said handles the ball better than TT (?), would harldy be covered from outside 15 feet. Neither rebounds very good for being 6'9" or 6"10".
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Another thing about Miles. He is a career 59% free throw shooter. Doesn't sound like a guy you want handling the ball in the last 4 minutes of a close game. No thanks.
