not every coach or offensive scheme needs "the best pg in the league" or some facsimile to be successive. Perhaps Atlanta knows more about the things Joe Johnson can do with the ball in his hands than he displayed on the court. Q wasn't the only one who bought in to the system.

As 4 the Suns they still have 3 all-stars including Amare who is virtually unguardable and are adding DEFENDERS. They may not be getting back equal talent but they are assembling a more balanced roster that will be more inclined not to give up 110-115 points per in the play-offs to a Spurs team that avg'd under 90 in the regular season. Diaw Bell are both defenders and Bell can score. Diaw can play some 1 and he is a sound defender as well. Kurt's gonna look great in the half-court playing the pick and pop with Nash as well as feeding Amare from the high post.

Running teams out the building got the fans and spotlight back. Now they are making a title push.
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

We know that Nash makes you better and gives you some roomt to work.

Diaw on a good team, with Nash might be much better than most think.

The Suns fleeced the Celts for Joe Johnson and thus got a decent euro player to play with euro coach, got a decent player in return, will likely get Mike Finely, and while those picks are lotto protected, they usually are for a certain time then must be given. In any event TWO no. 1's is pretty good!

Many times players leave creates other opportunities over time. JJ might put up good numbers "being the man" and ATL might look good, but I think the Suns will continue to strive and have those picks as trade bait, or will perhaps find another JJ int he rough!

Good post nalod, one thing about the suns is that they are good at recovering talent. I have seen Diaw a lot here in the ATL, and I will tell you this: People are saying why not get Josh smith instead, well Josh smith can't shoot, dribble, and is not a good passer, that does not seem to fit what the suns look for in a player, Diaw, can play a little point, is a adequate passer, finisher, not a good shooter but is two times the shooter josh smith is and can knock down the open jumper on occasions, but Diaw can defend, he is a underrated defender, people are fooled if they think that the suns are getting a scrub then think again, Diaw is a nice piece to have..

Nalod I was just thinking that. Diaw is a very good passer and ball handler. He played some point in Euro and is also a very good defender. Not a great scorer, but he's very long and with the kind of firepower Pho (still) has Diaw is a very good fit and he's cheap. Pho let some punch go but added guys that are still very athletic and like to defend in Bell and Diaw. KT is a weird fit but he will be a better fit than I think people give him credit for. I'm curious to see how he and Amare exist. Neither are low post players but my guess is they will be fine
