I know I'm late but I was just so into this conference.

I think it was in good taste to praise Herb so much. They need to slide him some money under the table for his trouble.

Larry Brown is finally here.......I hope this is the start of some winning from here on. I want to see my Knicks finally sitting on the top of the League again.

Isiah and Brown looked like they were both close to crying today.

Awesome.

Go Knicks!

Today is a good day.

I dunno how much I can believe that. Its all good though. We really finally have a real coach. Chaney, Wilkens, Herb lead to Larry Brown.

Is it ok to not expect much until perhaps the last third of the season? Can one have diminished expectations without being a pessimist?

I really feel that Larry will have to break some of these guys and they will kick and scream a bit. After one year I believe our guys will be doing as well as they can given the nature of this team. Our Rooks will struggle a bit, the prima donnas might kick up, and some will thrive! Its gonna be mixed!

But its all gonna be fun!

Especially more trades!

Oh yeah, it'll be fun alright!

One can have diminished expectations, as long as it doesn't translate into anal nitpicking and Isiah/Larry/Knicks bashing.

There's alot of us who are really hyped about the Knicks moves, especially the L. Brown pickup. Some of these threads are already getting tense (from what I've read over the last week or so), so now after this press conference, naysayers can end up getting embarrassed.

Messiah Thomas is getting things in order!
Get ready to do your thing, Larry!

That's why they call me HARDCORE. I love it when my team makes moves in the right direction! I had to suffer thru horrific days during the LayDown era, and now the days (and the Knicks future) are so much brighter, the enthusiasm is difficult to contain.

We all have a reason to be jovial today! We're gonna be WINNERS again!

hey i'm a mad kool-aid guzzling optimist but i love reading the stuff from the pessimists too, even the anal nitpicking and Isiah/Larry/Knicks bashing. It's a lot more fun around here to mix it up like that. As Frankie said, "We need a little . . . dynamic tension."

Isiah is a hell of a businessman....He is doing whatever he can to be successful at what he does.

I assume you are saying given his success in the draft and getting LB Here?

Or is it his being kicked out of the ownership group in Toronto?

OR his not seeing the writing on the wall when buying the CBA and it going into bancruptcy?

OR last years 33 win season?

If your happy with Isiah today, be it a good one for knicks, and Give Dolan Credit. It took balls to fire Layden mid season, it balls to hire Isiah, balls to allow your GM to procrastinate hiring a coach after the in 18 months you have had three already! Balls and clout to get a "allan houstan exemption" pushed thru the collective bargaining agreement, and balls to allow the taking on of more salary while the popular press is bashing you and your gm for last seasons folly!

Im not hating on Isiah at all, but take a step back and give Dolan a prop. Isiah does nothing unless Dolan signs off on it. I am the first one to parady Dolan, first to bash him as I think he was the true architect behind the Checketts/Ernie/Layden hangover we had for a few years, but also be the first to say he has made some nice moves himself.

I'm estatic after watching that press conference but the fact that most of the time was spent on herb williams really annoys me. I hope he's the head assistant coach because Larry likes him not because its Herb's consolation prize. Gar Heard has been Larrr's assistance for years. I hope Larry likes and trusts Herb enough to pick him over Heard.

oh and Herb Wiiliams the guy who supposably will do the "best thing for the knicks organization" refused to sit the veterans during meaningless games in favor of getting the younger players ready for this year.

Real fan? A hater? WHat is this like if you not a card carrying koolaid stained Nazi kinda propaganda babbleing knick fanatic you get called out? Your infantile babbles are usually "cute" and tolerated but you say Isiah is great "businessman" which is over the top ignorant! Isiah the basketball player was genious, Isiah the Coach was good, Isiah the GM has been mixed at best witht he present outlook much better than the disaster we called his first season and a half, but Isiah the Buisnessman has been a unmitigated disaster!

If your happy about what transpired today, and have even half a brain to register that I have not said a damm thing negative about Isiahs draft, nor about Larry! I love larry.

But the tripping overyourself to sing camp songs and lay praise on Isiah with no shred of memory is the most naive and foolish thing I have read.

My sarcastic remarks today are simply to parady the sophmoric comments from grown men acting like they are seeing the "beatles at shea", or Elvis in concert is quite funny! We got polls saying everyone wanted larry to begin with over PHil when Larry up until a month ago was still coaching the finals and was a huge longshot at best! Larry was not in play two months ago!

To say I am negative about everything only shows what a dim witted happy place your in! Im not raining on anyones parade, but if there is a funny side im going there.

To smile like the villiage idot at everything is just not my take.

isiah SAID it was his decision to not give the young'n's big minutes. i don't blame herb for this. if isiah said start ariza and sweets and give them 35 mins a piece, herb would've done it.
