a new contract normally forces everyone to do their best,,,sad to say , but it is human nature. But with Larry, anything can happen.

Dido, just for agreeing with me I forgive you for the bad info on Larry today!

I think barring injury, everyone can agree that TT will try harder than any of the previous years because he's on his last year. Such a shame when players do that...

Just human nature, if my contract was up and I was looking for a raise I would take it up a notch too! Everyone would.

Ohh please! Thats hypocrisy! You don't have to work hard on your contract year if you have played hard enough throughout your career and still do that year. So its right what players like Dampier do? I rather sign a player that has worked hard for me every year but in his contract year he struggles a little than a guy that has done nothing except when he is playing for the big check. I wouldn't work hard on my contract year, I would work hard every time because thats the point of playing any sport, or even anything in life.

Do you ALWAYS do your best? I think you could have written a better reply so there is room for improvement there. If there was money riding on your reply wouldn't you have tried to make it better? Like, for instance, using certain words in the correct way? People try to do better when there is more at stake, that's all I'm saying.

Yeah, that happens, thats why the world is like this. Everything is moved by the money, when it should be because you like to do something, like for love of the game. If someone offered me money for my posts I guess that would be because he liked something about them. If so, then why changing how I write? Maybe doing so will make the person not like my posts anymore. What I mean is that money shouldn't be what pushes you to make things better, it should come your desire to do always your best, from within. Money helps, but is not everything. You grow as a person when you try to get better because is the best for you, not because someone is offering you money...

Yeah, but money itself is the root. Its why people sell drugs and insurance companies create contracts where that operation that you need to save your sons life, will fall just out of what they are obligated to do.
