Same old same... Work was eating up alot of my time earlier this year, but I'm back around most days now.

This offseason has been full of surprises- I am just rooting hard for Isiah to get this Larry B deal done already.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I have come to understand with some of you people that no matter what Zeke does it will be wrong ! Everyone has ask for LB's presence in NY, but now you people come up with another excuse to bad mouth Zeke & the knicks ! This is unbelievable, is it because you want attention on this forum that the negative crap is spit like rain drops in the spring ? Having an opinion is crucial to a successful forum dialogue, but to be assannine in some of these statements is plain crazy. You want LB, now its crazy to get LB unless we can get him cheap ! WOW ! Well the new kid on the block has spoken, lol, I don't mean to offend anyone but i'm just scratching my head trying to understand the logic of some of you guys.

Please with the rumbling. where did anybody say anything about zeke? what has this got to do with zeke? i dont think we should massively overpay here. it's like an organizational flaw. pay him fair pay him for 3 years--phil jackson was paid 3 years 30mm$ so im thinking 3 yrs 22.5. like i said, it's stupid to say its not your money because it is. with larry brown health problems and his history a long term big money deal will slap them in the face.

Briggs, no disrespect but what business is it of yours or anyone else what Dolan gives Brown. If he throws in "happy endings" massages or personal around the clock nurses for the guy who cares. 1) It doesn't count against the cap so who gives a damn 2) The guy just came off a team that he won a championship with and one that came within 7 minutes of repeating, what you think he is going to get minimum wage 3) Phil Jackson was humbled, has Kobe Bryant and according to yau and many others has better tools in place to have more of an immediate impact (lets remember to stay consistent), the Knicks by your accounts and others has a horrible roster so doesn't the theory behind economics say you have to pay more when you offer less 4) I can't believe we have this thread going. 'Get your hands out of Dolan's pockets.'

The knicks payroll is like $125 million, add in corporate salaries, concessions, advertising ,etc maybe $250 million? whatever . brown could be the difference between same old crap and being successful and you want to possibly f**k this up for $5 million a yr. Thats BAD business.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

exactly; you have to take into account how much money Brown could help the team bring in by getting to the team to win games and generating huge fan enthusiasm.

Listen- who are we bidding against?

All we need to do is offer enough money so that Larry doesn't want to take a year off.
$22.5 for 3 years is reasonable, and could be your starting point.

Instead, we throw out some stupid number to start.

And, if we have to throw that kind of money to get larry motivated, I'm sorry I'd rather have a Van Gundy type who is all into the game and motivated on his own.

And while Larry Brown might make a difference, its still the five guys on the court that need to execute, and I still think we're some serious talent away from being able to compete.

Cleveland's the most obvious team b/c they've been mentioned a lot but I'd be shocked if other teams haven't also offered Larry positions

Whats this now a reunion of sorts with posters of days gone past now we got a real coach possibly?

Bring back Playa!

10mil for Larry is the rate. Two finals in two years, his NY rep is worth the extra money. I do hope the do put in if he can't coach 75% of his season he can go at team option with no payout!

Or in other words, if you can't do it, retire with dignity! Happens all the time. Detroit was trying to wiggle away from him all along and Larry and his agent played the fool, but in the end won the war. He gets his 18 mil, and Dolans money if he wants it! Shelly must be happy!

If We are to rebuild, reduce payroll, larry can help this team sell tix, so he is a particular value to this franchise.

Pay him!

No coach except Phil should make more than Popovich--whatever pops makes, that should be the top of the market.

everything has reasonable limits

you are absolutely correct.....but knowing how desperate knicks are, they will overpay

There is no possible way to overpay for Brown.

He is on vacation in the hamptons and is being hounded by the media and is still conducting a mini camp for kids and answering all questions.

He may be the PERFECT coach for NY.

Second round, we push the team we play to the brink.

We will have 10 more wins than last year.

Detroit, Miami and the Pacers...after that, it's anybody's game..

Advice to Marburry,,,,,,go to visit Brown as early as next week to pick his brain....put aside all what you think you know, because they have yet to earn you the respect that you deserve, and allow Brown to show you the way. Ask him what he wants you to work on and come to camp ready to dominate. Get a head start, because it will be in your advantage.
