I'm a little late on this topic but 18 points is a lot for a jumpshooter on a team that doesn't play P&R's. His role is D and rebounds. I see a lot of rebounds but not points.
You could be right, but even if he is not a part of the offense at all, sometimes offensive rebounds do become points. What makes you think that Nash won't pick and roll with KT? He's as good as any point guard at exploiting his teammate's strengths. KT's role is D and rebounds, but do you think he won't shoot at all ever? He only took 11.2 shots a game with the Knicks...
Another thing... granted your observations are purely armchair nature (aren't we all). That's saying that Kurt will be the no 2 guy on offense.
Where did you get that from? I never said he would become the number 2 option, and I don't think anyone else asserted that either. I am not sure where you infered that from. It's just that the Suns are known to spread the love on offense and KT should benefit, just like any other player who can shoot.
That's just stupid.
No need to call names my friend.
I mean Q richardson didn't even avg 18 and he's going to be along par with his slot in the offense (different production obviously).
I am not sure what you mean... But I think KT will shoot a much higher FGP than Q who was under 40%.
Oohah you're just being an antagonist...
Now that's definitely true!
If you check 82games.com, you'll see that the opponent Kurt is guarding shoots about 55 to 60% against him. Part of it is because his feet are too slow to guard most PFs and he's not big enough to guard Cs. I disagree with what you said about PFs in the west cooling down. They're still outstanding in the west. He'll have to guard guys like Duncan, Garnett, Brand, Gasol, Zach, Nene, Stro Swift if he stays in the west, Dirk, K-Mart, Boozer on a nightly basis. He's just too slow to guard them. That's 9 of the 15 starting PFs in the west. In the *majority* of the western conference games, he'll be up against one of those players who are quicker and stronger than he is.
Thanks for the link, I was unaware of 82games.com. And you are right the PF situation may not have dropped off in fact...after all Rasheed Wallace wasn't doing that great and Weber was a shadow of himself when he was traded.
KT may not be guarding the other team's best front line player every minute of every game. I am sure there will be times when Mike D'Antoni will decide he needs to put his superstar athlete Stoudamire on the other team's most potent big man, or perhaps even Marion will be used in the roll of stopper at times.
exactly, everyone here who thinks KT is any better is warped.
Better than who or what? Has anyone said anything about KT being better than anyone in this thread? What are you responding too? Please elaborate.
