some N.Y fans can be too loyal at times. The bad thing is that they are always loyal to those who have not done anything to better the franchise. What in the world has Herb helped the Knicks to win that was meaningful???? I really don't see why we must be loyal to him....He has been with this franchise as a player and coach for more than 10 years, and the Knicks have not won anything meaningful since....

What bother me about Herb is that his team quit on him and he was without answers. He went looking to Tex Winters for help during the season. Per DJ Isiah told him that he didn't want to play the young guys but per Herb it was his decision so I don't know who to believe. My point is that why would you let your GM make that call. I would never agree to something like that. I know JVG didn't that's why he didn't get the Cleveland job. Larry Brownbag would never agree to something like that. Herb is the gentle giant which is great for media relationships but is horrible for displine. Herb had a nice idea about playing Craw more at pg and moving Marbury over to the sg, Marbury said I am a pg and Herb retracted. Aguire and Lambier don't seem like the type to back off.

Herb can't be retained, because as we are trying to build something new in N.Y. we have to bring fresh blood in all areas to jumpstart this team....

Didn't you hear what Islefan said? Isiah is a coniving liar who gets people under his spell until they are in a trans. This is what has happened to Herb. Apparently we are all under this spell but wedo not know it. Islefan has informed me of this.

If I was Isiah, I would hire Laimbeer now with the understanding that if Brown should wind up as the head coach, he would be an assistant.

Of course, those terms may not be acceptable to Laimbeer.
