I like Gomes, but I definitely like some of the big men available right now a lot more.

Either Crawford's days are numbered or the Knicks are planning to use him solely at SG (with Marbury and Nate at PG and Q and Ariza at SF). He added 8 pounds of muscle *during* last season. If he can add another 8 over the offseason, physically there should be no reason why he can't play SG. Now all he needs is a coach who will give him some tough love (take him out when he slacks on defense or puts up consecutive bad shots). With Q, you have the luxury of taking Crawford out of the game to discipline him.

I like the lineup thus far of

Marbury/Nate Robinson
Crawford/Q
Q/Ariza
Sweetney et al.
Frye/Butler

That's EIGHT young talented players, 7 if you don't consider Marbury young.

BRIGGS said that...i believe his exact words were that we didn't need any retreads like Harrington on this team...Harrington's all of 25 years of age & has missed all of 19 games the past 3 years...i don't see that as that big of a health concern.

The insurance issues were never settled, which is why the Knicks got the 21st pick.
