I think the Pelicans have a strong case here. Why do teams rush out an announcement/leak out to Woj that they've reached a deal almost immediately after free agency starts, doesn't it just make it seem really obvious tampering has taken place for no real gain? Tweet was deleted or there was problem with the URL: Remember years ago when Stern cancelled that Miami signing of Juwan Howard or someone and he ended up signing roughly the same deal with his current team at the time (the Wizards)- wasn't sure at the time if Miami had done wrong or if Stern was just reacting to the Washington backlash. Was a bad contract in the end! |

I think the Pelicans have a strong case here. I assume this is happening because- can’t teams talk to agents of their own players? And if that agent reps someone else, isn’t almost hard not to talk about things related to them? I think they have to just make some changes, and acknowledge these kinds of things are going to happen. |

Howard as a back up is a good role at this age for 15 min. 28 year old Fournier getting kick outs from Randle and RJ will take a lot of heat off. They have to respect him and Randle should have more room. The trio of Rose, Evan and Kemba with the yoots is a good balance. IQ will see time. Don’t be suprised to see kemba held out until January. I’m guessing Grimes wont be in rotation and McBride will see Frank limited type minutes. Injuries will happen and he’ll see some time. IQ and Randle can handle a lot of “PG” type duties. NBA “looking into” tampering is not to be celebrated until something is done. I dig silver but don’t expect much out of it. Thinking I doubt they will walk back the deal unless another team highly protests and damage was done. If not expect it to be kept in house. Thats how they work. If egregious perhaps a fine and 2nd round pick awarded. Kudos to THjr for getting another 75mil 4 year deal. Not far from what Fournier got from us. |
