Haven't watched much playoffs... anyone else see this too?

Fouls are not called as much. Not 80s or 90s type calls but pretty close. Just watch the Lin TO. He got clotheslined by Lillard with no call. You really need to toughen up in these playoffs. Harden and Durant not getting the calls as well.

Haven't seen too much of the Western (late) games, but Hibbert is definitely getting a lot of fouls called on him. May be less to do with the end of the Stern era, and more to do with speedy Atlanta guys running at him.

I guess that the only way to prove this was to look at the number of FTA's last year compared to this year, especially for the stars.

Watching the games, it definitely feels that way. This also may have started with the recent institution of the flopping rules (thanks to JVG).

Totally agree. None of the teams that Stern showcased this preseason are having an easy playoff run and two are on the brink of being eliminated. Also, I was sure there would be a Paul George four point play towards the end of last nights game. He even fell to the floor from a phantom push but still didn't get the call.

Never thought about it that way

Also, Lin's last game just lowered his value. This bumps what we can get from Houston in a Melo trade.

He is getting killed by the Houston media and fans. I haven't watched him much but his good games are always posted here. I saw/heard a lot of, "and then Lin happened again references" in regards to his turnover the other night.

Yeah, as it should be...How many times have we seen Harden go to the line for his head jerk move..No phantom calls..Earn your victories...Play hard and play well..

Its not just Harden its all the stars - Lebron, Dirk etc ...

If the NBA calls phantom fouls because a player sold a flop then they will flop.

MJ used to get foul calls if you sneezed within 5 feet of him, it was disgusting.

Nyets rumored to have tanked because they did not want to tangle with Dah-Bulls? They got their hands full with the Raptors!

He plays well when he gets the chance. He does not match well with Harden. Beverley is the perfect match for Harden. As the 6th man he does well but the problem is when he comes in they still have him play off the ball. Weird. The Houston commentators only Bullard likes Lin. The old guy hates Lin. Same with Drexler.

Time for okc to shake off the Grizzlies. Durant will more than likely turn it around to save the game/season. Bye bye toney allen

Yup. Melo's value is going up. Now we need the Blazers to close out the Rockets.

The margins are ridiculously fine in this series. 4 successive OT games, and this one decided on the replay to see whether the guy's pinky was still on the ball when the clock ran out.

Ah, that explains it. I glanced at the box scored, noticed that OKC won on a last second shot. Then, while I was reading the box, the score changed to a Memphis win.

Wow, i'm reading the play by play and I see: (Durant missed 3, 0:00) so im like grizz won. I smile in amazement then think you forgot they could have rebouded and put it back in. Sure enough the next refresh (okc 101/ mem 100) Ibaka reb. I'm like whaaaat.

I saw it was under review and thought you can't shoot a 3 and reb/putback in 2 seconds.

I need to get back home quick for the last game.

Melo just became very valuable to Chicago especially if we take back boozer-stiff in a S&T.

OKC needs to look to trade Westbrook - he is just not a good fit with Durant. Okc shot 31 threes at 38.7 percent which is good but Westbrook going 1-7 from 3 is bad. Westbrook in 4 overtime games this series is a sweet 0-14!

Perhaps Memphis is just a bad match up for OKC. They seem to be well coached.
