To be honest, I'm prepared for the series to go the full 7 games- The Celtics are a tough playoff team, and just when you think they're too old or have lost it, they seem to come back. They took The Lakers and the Heat to 7 games the past few playoffs. Don't underestimate them.

too much iso and not enough assists last night. the knicks won't prosper if the bad melo and the bad smith show up. 28 shots missed between the two of them and a combined 41.6%FG and 47.7%TS. those numbers are in no way good enough to give miami a challenge.

kenyon martin was a great pickup.

If a bad game for MElo is a TS of 57%, 45% FG, and eFG of 51%. I think the Knicks will give the Heat a go even if JR has a bad game. JR missed too many open shots though but they were great looks. I looked forward to a bounce back game from him.

Way to combine their numbers though.

they normally take the lion's share of the shots and in this game they took even more than the lion's share. it isn't good when melo takes more than 20 shots (let alone 18), and for a volume shooter who is trying to become more efficient and team-oriented 29 shots is really bad. jr it's the same-- he should not be taking more than 15-16 shots a game, and he should always be taking more FT than 3s. so my point of combining their numbers is to reveal the negative impact it has on their ability to produce points. 85 points.

so we take the win but we admit that the celtics made us play the game the wrong way. maybe tuesday woodson will have figured out countermeasures, and will have sat down anthony and smith and watched tape to show them the good the bad and the ugly.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

The Knicks were able to out execute the Celtics in a defensive game. The Knicks totally took the the Cs out of their game. They couldn't even get a shot off in the final two minutes. "Admit the Celtics made us play the game the wrong way"? Really? Sunday was a thing of absolute thing of beauty. The Knicks won and the outcome wasn't really in question during the fourth quarter. I know the outcome probably conflicts with the statistical analysis you use but c'mon. Sunday was *BEAUTIFUL*

That 4th quarter was truly a thing of beauty. It had everything except our starting center preening, Spree-like, after some put back dunks. [I miss Spree]

KG makes the wrong decision. KMart makes the tough catch and basket. Melo smiles.

JR hits a tough shot, Novak hits a three.

8 fruhhhhickin points in the 4th quarter!

MSG rocking D-FENCE and it actually really means something again!

The guy who does commentary with Spero on ESPN has got to be almost as bad as Mike Breen on TV.

Novak hit a three? Which game were you watching?

Sorry, was listening, not watching. My bad, must have been static flashbacks.

I'm overly happy!
