Blazers match Batums ridiculous contract of $46mil, ending a funny feud with Kahn. I'll wager Courtney Lee is now signed by the Twolves (ex rockets coach loves him).

Jamison signing with Lakers for minimum.

Not much out there- Randy Foye and Delonte West would be okay for us, don't know if they'd accept minimum. Erm... Shawne Williams? Kenyon Martin? Gary Neal? Mo Evans?

Say what you will about the Nets but they wouldnt have let lin leave.

It also counts to have an owner worth $17Billion also I guess.

Their rookies--by far Lamb Jones White Montejunas look very very good in comparison to many other teams who made only 1 pick. All of them look like high lottery picks--other teams high lottery picks like Robinson Beal(who has scored but also has taken a lot of shots and hasnt rebounded like college) Waiters etc have not looked as good. The one high lottery pick who has looked like a high pick is MKG he has been super from what I have seen---that will end up as the prescient pick of the draft from a high position.

Ruck the Fockets!

The Rockets hit a grand slam without Lin. Im telling you Jones White Lamb Donatas are all high lottery pick talent ready to go and they also got Macahdo who looks like a very capable back up PG for a long time. To catch that many good players in one draft is an absolute coup while they are two-three years awat this team has a foundation of what the Okalhoma Thunder have.

Your boy Anthony Randolph is now a Nugget.http://tracking.si.com/2012/07/18/nuggets-amnesty-chris-andersen-sign-anthony-randolph/ Nuggets also amnestied Birdman. I'd take a chance on him, assuming he gets past his legal challenges.

Saw that. Randolph is still only 23. Hopefully he fulfills his potential in Denver.

Rockets waived Jordan today. New cba sucks. Knicks can't resign him for a year.

Superstar Orlando Center gets traded to the Lakers, take 2.

Magic center Dwight Howard signaled that if he is traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, he would be prepared to sign a long-term extension after the 2012-13 NBA season, the basketball website RealGM.com reported on Wednesday.

Two sources confirmed to ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard that Howard is willing to re-sign long-term with the Lakers if Orlando trades him there. Until recently, Howard had been steadfast in his desire to commit only to the Brooklyn Nets long-term.

The Lakers have not been notified of any change in Howard's thinking as of late Wednesday night, a league source told ESPNLosAngeles.com's Ramona Shelburne, but had always figured he would commit to staying with the franchise once he experienced being part of a championship culture. As ESPNLosAngeles.com reported Tuesday night, the Lakers have been willing to make a trade for Howard without assurances he would sign an extension.

Sources also told Broussard the Lakers are ready and eager to trade for Howard -- with a package built around Andrew Bynum -- but that Orlando is holding up the deal. Orlando, while willing to trade Howard, is not in a rush. The Magic will wait until they get a deal they like.

The Lakers remained dogged in their pursuit of Howard late into the night Wednesday and plan to continue discussions into Thursday, a league source told ESPNLosAngeles.com, but the longer the process drags on, the more it complicates their other offseason business and forces them to consider moving on.

One potential holdup is Bynum's unwillingness to sign a long-term extension in Orlando. While Bynum has not completely ruled out playing there, sources said, he will not sign an extension there and instead will wait until after the season to potentially test the free-agent market.

The Lakers have talked with Cleveland and Houston, both of whom have interest in Bynum, about being a third team to help facilitate the trade. Both clubs have the draft picks Orlando wants in any deal.

The Magic will also want to rid themselves of some of their more onerous contracts like those of Hedo Turkoglu and Jason Richardson.

If a Howard trade isn't feasible, the Lakers would quickly turn their attention to resuming extension talks with Bynum and re-signing forward Jordan Hill. If Bynum agrees to an extension, it would start the clock on a deal for Howard in much the same way Brooklyn's extension with Brook Lopez did earlier this month.

I hope he goes to LA and the Rockets have nothing but Lin on their team. Good luck with that.

Yeah I think morey misplayed this. Over paying for Lin when he let dragic leave and traded Lowrry doesn't make a lot of basketball sense. Giving up the cap space to take on contracts in a d12 trade so they could sign Lin destroyed his offseason plan.

We are so worried about Miami but we should worry about teams that we can actually beat. Boston has had a really good offseason which sucks balls.

Yep, I was hoping they'd break up this offseason, but they're back and improved. Bah! Can't stand that team, but they were great last year and they've gotten better- they'll be tough to beat. Maybe they're a little weak in the front court depth wise, depending on how ready their rookies are.

Indiana made some moves, not sure if they're better though. Wizards are better (and under rated), Raptors are better. Not sure about the Hawks but they needed the change. Nets are better too. Miami upgraded. Sixers and Bulls are worse, and the Magic will be once they've finally sorted out the Dwight trade.

It'll be tougher this year for us, especially with the Nets and Celtics in our division, but I hope we can rise to the challenge.

What the heck are Houston doing with so Many Forwards. I guess they really want the ball in their PGs hands.

http://www.suntimes.com/sports/13879220-419/bulls-shouldnt-match-rockets-offer-sheet-to-omer-asik.html

Houston has done it again. They gave an offer sheet to Bulls backup center Omer Asik very much like the one they gave to Lin. Asik is a very good rebounder and shot blocker, but his lack of offense is legendary. He can't catch the ball, commits offensive fouls and shoots fouls like Shaq. Chicago isn't expected to match.

Don't believe it yet. Not gonna brag that we are the team to beat, but I think we have enough weapons to challenge them in case they are that good.

Houston has been rebuilding for like 4-5 years and they are going nowhere.

At some point you actually have to put out a decent team. Lin gives the Houston franchise hope and someone too root for.

All Morey can do is trade for draft picks and draft good prospects. He then seems to lose them for nothing because he can't make trades for established players. He stinks at recruiting players too- only way he got Lin and Asik was by overpaying and giving poison pill contracts. He sucks, but thinks he's a great GM.

Omer Asik's offer sheet with Houston is same terms as Jeremy Lin's -- $5M, $5.2M, $14.9M. Bulls have three days to match.
From Berger.
