Dammit! I really wanted to see this game and REALLY wanted to see Miami lose.

JOE JOHNSON IS THROUGH!

I gotta admit that iw as one of those skeptical people when johnson went to the hawks. they seemed like the clippers to me. but it worked out, very happy to see them in the second round. the hawks are my dark horse in the east.

Wade is definitely the 3rd best player in the NBA.

1. lebron

2. kobe

3. dwyane

i could live with that.

What happen to Tiny Tim D?

He's getting old, man.

agreed. imo timmy is the 2nd greatest power forward to ever play. but age has caught up to him and he's not playing at that level at this point.
IMO he's just a good all-star who's always had borderline all-star hall-of-fame teammates. He was always a notch below KG--he couldn't do half the variety of things KG in his prime could--but KG had an NBDL level squad most of his career.

By the way, all he said is that Tim is getting old. With that, I too agree.

td has always been a much much more big-game player than kg. td has carried teams to playoff series victories and championships in 4th quarters throughout his career. kg doesn't and can’t take over 4th quarters. he needed to team with players like pierce and allen to finally get there.

Hard to imagine anyone on Miami getting shots other than Wade and Beasley next season- between them, these two are going to have a FGA/game of about 40-45 next year.

TD needed Parker and Manu just as much as KG needed Pierce and Allan, and in both cases they needed those teammates A LOT. And there's nothing wrong with that. KG did a fine job of taking over games when necessary last post-season while also maturely deferring to teammates when he thought it was wiser to make sure the whole team was involved. I'm sure we're not gonna change each other's opinions but we can still have a fun debate.

And there's nothing wrong with taking over a game in the 4th quarter by racking up assists and playing lock-down defense (like my boy/DPOY often did last post-season). Taking over a game means more than just getting lots of field goals.

Is Chauncey Billups officially in the Tim Duncan club of "leadership, high IQ but grossly underappreciated"?

td does all that AND is the go-to scorer in the 4th quarter. i've watched kg his whole career and always noticed he absolutely is not a go-to scorer with a game on the line.

this is billups best play-off run since the championship year in detroit. otherwise he was inconsistent to a total skunk when they faced the cream of the crop from 05-08 just like the 2 years prior to LB.

this statement is rivaled in hilarity only by the Marbury is better than Nash contingent back in 05.

Parker and Gino just recently became all-stars. Afte Shaq no big man has been as dominant as Tim this past decade.

I wish someone had footage of TD in gm 7 of the 05 finals and you'd see more grit and guts displayed by TD in the 4th qtr on both sides of the ball than all of KG's postseason performaces combined.

as for KG, what pf of note did he face last years title run that he had to exert himself?

Duncan has faced and bested Shaq, Dirk, Stat, Malone, KG, the Wallaces on his way to 4 titles. Over the past decade San An has won 50 plus games and has had a teammate average 17 or more a game 4 times in 10 yrs and only 1 of those title teams Parker in 07.
