Eli's on point today... 3 TD's so far & there's still a lot left to play in the 4th.

i guess Aaron Ross missed the memo apparently... 4 PI penalties.

I may sound crazy but I would prefer to lose at some point if only to get our head out of the clouds for a little bit. I don't like when things are going TOO well (actually I do but I'll explain) because something seemingly always go wrong. Look at the Patriots. They were perfect throughout and failed in the big game. I really want the Giants to win the Super Bowl again this year but we're going to have to be extremely lucky and try to stay injury-free(besides Osi of course) for the rest of the year and through the playoffs. Can we do it? It's hard. An NFL season takes its toll on a body at some point. I hope Coughlin is smart enough to rest our guys in the final game of the season. Besides my jitters on something going wrong, I am confident that if everything stays in track that we can win another title. How awesome would that be? In my opinion, winning this one would be even tougher than the second since we have the target on our back and we're playing amazing this year as well. Let's do this!

not a good defensive game today by this team... looks like it's the offense & special teams' turn to bail out the D this week.

We got hosed by the officials today. Lots of questionable PI and missed holding/facemask calls. I was shouting the whole game long and I rarely get upset by officiating. I thought our D did a decent job considering how explosive their O is and would've had more sacks.

They also suffered from the fact that Robbins, Tuck and Tollefson all went out at various points with injuries.

That being said, this would've been a completely different game with Jacobs playing. We missed about 3 or 4 2nd and 2's where Jacobs would've converted them. And we never really got a rhythm going on the ground. I thought they'd mix in Bradshaw more earlier.

Eli, however, had an outstanding game. He was accurate, poised and took care of the ball while throwing 3 TD passes. If not for some drops his stats would've been more impressive. He hit 5 different recievers at least 4 times today. He's clearly at his best when he can spread the ball out. Interesting that two of his best games this year were without Plax.

Domenik Hixon is the game MVP. How was he not returning kicks all year? Wow is all I cans say about him.

We lost our game to Cleveland. Right now we are locked in and beating really good teams every week. There is not let up in this team.

BTW, 37 points with no Plax or Jacobs???? This team is deeper than the bottom of the ocean.

And I'll make it 4 in a row. Next 3 games are within the division- if they win just two of these games the divison is locked up. Homefield could be possible soon too

Plaxico Burress should be at the pinnacle of career. Instead, he seems bent on ruining it.

Everything a wide receiver could want, Burress has -- new contract, Super Bowl ring, superb athletic ability, great team and an excellent quarterback. But this season has been one incident after another with Burress, the most serious occurring Friday night, when he accidently shot himself in the leg at a nightclub. Burress spent the night in a Manhattan hospital, and details about the incident remain sketchy.

Fortunately, Burress' injuries were not life threatening. Thankfully, nobody else was injured. Hopefully, Burress makes a full recovery. He was released from a Manhattan hospital Saturday afternoon.

"We are aware of the fact that Plaxico was involved in an apparent accidental shooting last night," team officials said in a statement released Saturday afternoon. "We have been in contact with Plaxico since shortly after the incident. Plaxico suffered a wound to his right thigh. Obviously our primary concern is for Plaxico's health and well-being, and given the circumstances we are relieved to say he was released from a New York City hospital at approximately 2 p.m. today.

"We have been in touch with NFL security on this matter. At this point, we are attempting to gather all the facts surrounding this incident. This incident could become a matter for law enforcement officials, and because of that we have no comment on any of the details."

No matter how quickly Burress returns to health, he must examine the turmoil in his life and take immediate steps to end it. He already has been fined, benched and suspended this season. It has become painfully clear that his personal life is out of order.

The Giants (10-1) again face the challenge of dealing with a Burress distraction, starting Sunday when they visit the Redskins. But in some ways, the Giants already have moved on without Burress. Steve Smith has more catches (41) than Burress (35), with Amani Toomer (34) close behind. Burress was going to miss the Redskins game anyway with a hamstring injury. Even with Burress having a subpar season, the Giants have won six consecutive games and have the NFC's best record as Eli Manning has bonded even more with his other receivers.

It is possible that Burress will not play again for the Giants -- this season or ever. Depending on the facts pertaining to the shooting, he could face punishment for violating the league's personal code of conduct. He will have to recover from his injuries. And the Giants, tired of his troubles, might not want him back after this season.

Burress caught the winning touchdown in last year's Super Bowl, but he has not been the same player since. Meanwhile, the Giants have shown amazing resiliency, winning the Super Bowl the year after Tiki Barber retired and rolling this season despite the retirement of Michael Strahan and a season-ending injury to Osi Umenyiora.

Certainly, the Giants are better with Burress. But they have proven they can win without him.

The Giants, as a team, clearly have the discipline Burress lacks. Surely, all of his teammates are thankful Burress was not seriously injured. But they also surely have grown weary of his distractions, and you cannot blame them.

When Burress was given a one-game suspension earlier this season for skipping a day full of team meetings, none of his teammates said they were surprised. None of his teammates said they thought the punishment was too harsh.

Whether Burress gave thanks on Thanksgiving, he should be more thankful now. One bullet in the wrong place can end your life, not just your career.

Hard work, talent and good fortune have taken Burress to the NFL, but he keeps finding trouble and ignoring warning signs.

Maybe this latest incident will be the wakeup call that has not registered up to this point. But before Burress runs another pass pattern, he should run to get whatever help he needs to end the off-field drama.

good start by the G-Men, but that last TD by the Skins shoulda never happened... the play before where Webster picked off the pass being called back on that bogus hands to the face penalty was 1 of the worst calls i've ever seen... Darryl Johnston w/his usual idiotic agreements on bogus calls that go against the Giants... "Oh yeah! it's clear as day on that one!" SHADDAP MOOSE!

pretty amazing performance this season thus far.

Giants pretty much controlled them. Skins stuck 8 or 9 in the box and Eli through for 220+ by half time. Ironic that Eli's best games have been with Plax out of the lineup. Saw a stat the other day that Hixon catches about 75% of passes intended to him, and Smith and Boss are in the 60's. By comparison Plaxico was closer to 50% and has been at 50% or below for most of his Giants career and it was a similar number with Shockey. The younger guys are on the same page as Eli and it really makes a difference. Giants O is really rolling- should've put a few more in the endzone, but they moved the ball pretty freely for most of the game against a very tough defense, especially against the pass.

i think where we really miss Plax is in the Red Zone... he's such a tough cover on those fade routes & he can use his body well against smaller defenders... he's also a really good run blocker which u can't overlook... i agree w/u on the same page point but Plax is a valuable weapon that Eli has at his disposal & can bail u out on some bad throws on many occasions just by the fact that he can get to balls that other guys can't.

No doubt Plax has world class talent and can help.- but the Giants won't be lost without him and in some ways its making the offense even better because they're not just focusing on making plays with one target.

I thought Kevin Gilbride really excelled today with his game plan. Took advantage of the redskins agressive 8 man fronts with quick short throws and getting the ball to players with plenty of open space ahead of them. They tested Wash deep (to great effect early) and that really opened up the intermediate area of the field. Also they never abandoned the run, even with it being ineffective early, and when they finally did get something going in the 2nd half it allowed them to chew up some clock.

The defense was obviously on point. They didn't have Fred Robbins today, who is about as key as anyone on the defense and they didn't miss a beat in stopping Clinton Portis and the Skins power run game. A no-name guy they just put on the active roster on Friday named Jeremy Clark really stepped up and played a solid game when they really needed some depth at DT. Aaron Ross also bounced back in a big way after getting called out some iffy penalties last week.
