![]() smokin aces 2: assassin's ball- this movie is NUTS but for me it is s good thing. it matched the chaotic kinetic energy of the first game which some people hated but i loved. the plot of this is that there is a person working as a desk clerk that is targeted for death by 4 different and eccentric assassins. only two of the assassins are familiar but all are entertaining in their own way. the set up is key as you piece together clues as to why they want this person dead and of course a twist at the end that is predictable. however, for action junkies, there is a lot, more than i expected from a direct to video movie and it is well done and paced. if you like the first one, then you will like this one.
iron man 2- i heard many mixed things from critics and audiences alike so i was skeptical. then when i went away after i watched this, i was more than pleased. this movie was GREAT. TDK great? Nah. but it was still hot. if you expect wall to wall action, wait for the a-team. this is a story that develops the character of tony even further as well as his friends and enemy. the cast did an outstanding job and when iron man is finally in action, he does not disappoint. great action sequences and convincing. war machine did his thing too. this is also a set up movie for the avengers which, for a comic book geek like me, it is fine ( again sit through the credits if you are a marvel comic fan). rdj absolutely killed this role and solidified himself as the best portrayal of a superhero ever. i am watching this next week on imax with my son but this is HIGHLY recommended, especially if you are part of the true "geek squad" like me. makes you so giddy that this is for real: they are actually doing an avengers movie. its mind boggling. |

![]() ugh, just watched "Legion"... what a horrible joke of a movie... could have been so much more... i guess i shoulda expected as much when a fallen Angel takes up toting around machine guns & RPG launchers to kill off Angel possessed humans pent on killing the baby of some random white trash diner waitress who doesn't even know who the father is... if u haven't seen this yet, don't bother.

Just came back from watching Iron Man 2 with the family. It did not disappoint. RDJ is really a great actor. This is a must see. The end of the credits is a must for comic book fans. Mickey Rourke portrayal of wiiplash is awesome. Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer was also well done. Scarlett's portrayal of Agent Romanoff was ...eh...ok. Her action scenes though were very good. Paltrow as Pepper Potts has really good chemistry with RDJ as Tony Stark. |

Looks cool and this Alicja Bachleda is smokin' hot. Definite Alba thread material...I'll go see this. Looks pretty good "If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just SUCK." Kenny Powers

![]() jazz74 wrote:kick-ass- this was a very entertaining movie to say the least. i like the concept of having a superhero in a real world and the consequences of such an action. the characters are great, but hit-girl and big daddy takes their performances to another level. hit girl's intro was on the same level as blade's in his first movie as she slices and dices, literally. the best sequence was the "rescue" scene done with night goggles. there were some corny moments, but the great moments overshadow them. recommended but be warned: it is violent and there are offensive language in this movie that will surprise. Just finished watching "Kick Ass" Wow!! Did not expect it to be this good. Big Daddy and Hit Girl really takes the cake. This is a must see but as jazz said...this movie is violent and a lot of offensive languages. |

![]() finally saw Iron Man 2... really enjoyed it... i thought the action sequences were awesome & CGI effects were money... couldn't get enough of Scarlett Johansson in that tight secretary's outfit, until that is she put on that black widow costume & started kicking some ass... damn! can't wait for the Avengers movie!

Hit Girl fight scene? dunno what movie you're referring to. the Black Widow fight scene was awesome... 1 of the better parts of the movie IMO... i'm glad they didn't put her up against another female villain for the cliche catfight scene, those types of scenes are always less than spectacular unless there's some sweat, nekked boobies & perhaps some jello involved.
