crickets in support

See above

ok. 1 person in support.
Check back after game 5.

the only thing that can save his ass now is a big series win against the pacers and then the heat. but for us to do that, he needs to start amare on hibbert and copeland on their PF. hell i'll even take copeland on hibbert and kmart on their PF. but knowing him he's gonna stick to tyson chandler like glue and then we'll have 2 cant shoot anything players on the floor.
The last guy failed miserably and then resigned. Woodson has been more successful then any coach in the last decade in NY.

Woodson on Prigioni's lower minutes: "I'm not going to sit here and explain it."

That does it for me. Fire Woody already!

Again, no one will question that Woodson had a bad series, but he's not gonna get fired after the Knicks first 50 season and playoff series win in a dozen years.

Who would you replace him with that you think would do a better job with this roster? Not being confrontational but I think Woodson is underrated and got a lot out of a team that isn't that talented and has some emotionally fragile/immature guys.

Then we can officially stop with any nonsense of contending for a championship. Woody has been thoroughly embarrassed as a coach this postseason and just look at his track record to see it won't change.

After Game 3 debacle, all his adjustments were for the worse and made no sense. This was a sorry performance for him.

Oh well, another mediocre period for the Knicks. I'll adapt this time and simply check them in the season and expect NOTHING in the postseason. There, I saved you guys following this team for the next few years.

Give all the kudos to Woody for his regular season success. Simply don't expect him to get you anywhere in the postseason. If you want a better chance in the postseason, get somebody else. Names? You talking names? I'll give you a list next time. Its been a loooooooong day today already without the Knicks being involved.

That is absolutely not a conclusion you can make....there is "magic bullet" out there that equals contending coach. Some of the best, most consistent winning coaches in the NBA don't even have titles. Eric Spoelstra has a title and I don't think he coaches this team half as well as Woodson.

If getting the second seed in the east, 54 regular season wins and at least to the conference semi finals is the start of a mediocre period after the last decade+ I will take it. Guys that couldn't do that, Larry Brown, Lenny Wilkens, Don Chaney, Mike D'Antoni, Isiah Thomas. It is the middle of May. Tonight sucked and the Knicks seem to be having an epic collapse but they haven't been this far in 13 years. I don't think it is too hard to adapt to a team that is finally relevant.

I also don't think you win a title overnight. It was a longshot at best to go from a team that was an 8th seed and nearly swept to an NBA champion in 1 season. Teams take a few years to build- even the Heat didn't win year 1.

As an aside, its just hard to beat Indiana at home. 34-11 (.755) this season and the Knicks are 0-4 in Indiana. Mathemtical probability says the Knicks are due to win that 5th game since the Pacers are supposed to be a bit better than 75% at home. Keep the home court and get 1! Stay positive!

Actually, this may be our peak. The Pacers will carry their playoff success to cement themselves as the 2nd seed and we'll see how the East is revamped.

Again, I'm serious about giving kudos to Woody for his regular season success, but please, see how he has coached us this postseason and see his track record and tell me if you belueve he can take the team to a real championship contention?

If you do, congrats, you have more faith than me. I have lost it this postseason and with Woody's own response after games.

Mediocrity?
Thats a mid-seed in the East, possible first round out, definite second round out. If you are ok with that, then Woody is your guy. As you say, mediocrity is better than the dark ages. Still, mediocrity won't get you anywhere close to the championship.

Feels better, right? Excuses have those effects.

Its true what you say, but for us to be closer to championship contention, things have to change a lot.

I'm no longer a believer Woody's offensive ineptitude and blindness on the guys producing vs the veterans struggling will get it done. Congrats on anpther strong regular season, and congrats on another underwhelming playoff run.

I heard that before. So you dont think Chicago or any other team wont improve?

Paul George is the next Rudy Gay. Indiana is going to have to pay David West and Paul George. Indiana is a deep young team so they can throw bodies at you. Problem with them is just like Denver you eventually have to put up the $$$$.

David West is UFA this summer.
DJ Augustin is UFA this summer.

Tyler Hansborough is a RFA this summer

Paul George is RFA next summer.
Lance Stephenson is RFA next summer.

Still sticking by your guy, eh? Hey, at least you're going down to the bitter end.

All of a sudden the team went from "title contender" to "untalented, immature team". A label you'd put on the Isiah teams. Keep apologizing for a coach who has an awful playoff record.

. . . Woodson . . .

I don't think Woodson is an awful coach. But . . . the Knicks are less fun to watch than some teams, in part, because Woodson is a stick in the mud. The MAD Knicks were not much worse and they were fun to watch. No, I don't think Woodson is going anywhere and maybe he'll be better next year . . .

So Tyson is still a great player to some of you? Right? Lol...I like how every other team runs some kind of high post set and chandler can't threaten any defense so it's hand off or a hold...my god he sucks on d and he is useless on offense. Blew 2-3 offensive set ups by Felton...you gotta at least get a foul. Smfh

These guys like playing for Woodson, that's about it. He doesn't do much for us. What you see is what you get. What I've said all year. He doesn't make great adjustments or elevate his team to great levels.
