Ah, gotcha. I thought seb was originally referencing Hill not being valuable enough to the Rockets. Sorry about that.

seb's point is that he believes the Knicks may have decided they royally fugged up by taking Jordan Hill in this draft due to their apparent readiness to include him in this trade... he suggests that this may be an admission on their part that they don't believe Jordan Hill is going to as good as they originally may have thought... my contention is that this has nothing to do w/why they may be ready to deal Jordan Hill & much more to do w/the added cap savings they would gain in the trade by dealing him.

Before we trade for McGrady we better make damn sure he ain't damage goods or Houston knows something that we don't know. Our doctors always miss stuff.

I don't care if he shows up in a wheelchair. What difference does it make?

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Chris Sheridan: The Houston Rockets and New York Knicks are "making progress" in their Tracy McGrady trade discussions, according to a source close to the talks, and Knicks president Donnie Walsh is expected to speak with owner Jim Dolan on Wednesday to discuss the parameters of the deals that have been discussed, and how best to proceed forward.

Several sources say the main holdup at this point is the Rockets asking for a future No. 1 pick as the price for taking on Jeffries, who is owed $6.9 next season. Dolan has always been amenable to throwing $3 million cash into the kitty to make a deal go through, but a decade of sacrificing first-round draft picks has left him hesitatnt to sign off on letting another one go (The Knicks owe their own 2010 pick to Utah).

If the teams swap McGrady, Brian Cook and Joey Dorsey for Larry Hughes, Jeffries and Jordan, the Rockets would drop almost $2 million below the luxury tax threshold and would be eligible for a $4-plus million tax redistribution payment.

If Al Harrington was put in the trade instead of Hughes, and Cook was removed , the financial savings for Houston would be about the same. As things stand now, the Rockets are $2.7 over the tax threshold.

Walsh is gonna meet with Dolan tomorrow to discuss this shiznit.

I agree, at this point it seems to me like this is Morey seriously over-valuing his commodity. I really was on the band wagon for this trade, but now when you are looking at how much more Morey wants and how unwilling he is to budge, it really doesn't seem worth the trouble.

I am getting to the point where I would be happy if the Knicks worked a deal with Chicago for Ty, and a deal with Boston maybe including Jared and Nate and left Morey high and dry with nowhere to turn to trade TMac.

just toss them some cash & tell them to buy their own cot dayam late 1st round pick with it... good for Jim Dolan if he holds firm on that

combine $3 mil in cash along w/that $4 mil in that tax payment & HOU has the money to pay for Fishlips' contract next year right there... there's no excuse to include a future pick or even those swap rights in this

I'm with you on this. Dolan should have the sack to do just what you said. Morey is starting to really seem like an arrogant punk to me.

haha. Morey is just doing exactly what we would want him to do as our GM..bend Walsh over to take Jefferies contract.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

A good source of mine has just informed me , Tracy McGrady and his close support group are preparing for a trade to Chicago. The source says it's not a done deal but "likely" to the Bulls. Stay tuned...
