We were much more athletic, had much more length than Sac. You could see the problems they were having on the O and didnt have the speed to keep up on the D. I would say, specifically that Frye, Ariza, Mabrury and Crawford played top notch and I'll give some props to Nate because that was the kind of game that he can bring. He was all over his man, he plays with a lot of toughness and when he plays smart, he can be a very effective back up PG who can score rebound and defend. I would hope the next integration step is to get Lee some of davis's and Rose's minutes

Well one thing is for sure, Marbs is going to be over the hill by the time all our young guys are really hitting their primes.

I disagree somewhat with this Tom. Jason Kidd is 32 after all and still able to lead his team. Marbury has a good 3 years left of his current style of play. If he spends that time, however, learning how to distribute better, lead better, and how to score even more efficiently (ala Billups) he will be able to play with these guys in four years. Remember, we dont' have a lot of high-schoolers, these guys are already 22. In four years, they'll be 26 (JC will be 29) and hitting their stride. If they're all still here, Marbs will know each of their games like the back of his hand and will be able to maximize each of their talents to the fullest. We would, however, need another backup pure PG.

However, while I'm not ready to give up on Marbs like a lot of people, if a good trade came along, I wouldn't say no. That doesn't mean wally for Marbs, or Harrington for Marbs. C'mon people!

Let's just save these threads, so everyone who didn't believe in Stephon now won't try to switch up later like they were always rooting for him.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

What counts as success this year? Marbury is only worth keeping if he gets us past the first round.

Well maybe some can give him at least that much time before hastily writing him off. I see Steph being instrumental in getting us past round 1 of the Playoffs. However, even if he doesn't this first year (in LB's system), I wouldn't see that as a reason to trade him.

Too many so-called Knicks fans sound like they can't wait to see Stephon either traded or to just fail (brainwashed by the media? Very possible). No matter, I just root for him harder.

Watch Steph record his first triple-double as a Knick THIS YEAR.

An older more mature Marbs may be a better one. I am hoping his re-education will go well and he can integrate into the team player.

THis is the plan and I am sticking to it.

I think much of the quotes are MindPHuching to keep players on notice that nobody is safe. Big lame gotta get in shape, and he ain't playing until! And Marbs needs to know he ain't the Diva he used to be! When you have decent support, there is even more pressure! But at the same time his "importance" was always evident.

Anyway, they are all on notice and until any trade is announced, I like these guys and wish them well!

^First triple-double? 10pts 10assists 10turnovers? Who cares about his individual stats anymore? I'm looking for how he manages the game and leads this team down the stretch of games.

10+ points
10+ assists
10+ REBOUNDS

and yes, he can get that WHILE playing TEAM ball, helping us WIN.
A notable such as this would be an improvement performance-wise for him and the team.

And I almost forgot about REEZY!!!! He should be able to do what he wants (take it straight to the rack) against Peja who is one of the worst defenders in the league. He should also play Peja well if he doesn't get in foul trouble. It'll be a nice test for him.
remember where you heard it first.
