If you are Chris Paul and lose this series, why would you re up with LA in the off season?

Was going to ask the same question...He could make a lot of money staying in LA and living in Beverly Hills is doesn't suck as Nolad said...But how badly does he want a ring and where??

If the Clippers don't come back Paul will have only been out of the 1st round twice but if you like at the teams he played on...

Del Negro is a goner. This is why I was never sold on the Clips despite them spanking us. The dont play winning playoff ball. Blake is not good enough. Memphis can legitimally make it all the way to the finals. Think as a knick fan i rather play okc or san antonio

Dwight on Houston if the Robinson kid developes at the PF, resign Parsons (if they can after dwight) would be a young team ready to compete NOW!

Not sure if they can keep Asik, or even should.

Dwight has to deal with Capspace-Pau-Metta-Kobe-MDA "drama's" vs a young up and coming team with assets!

Of course, sitting in malibu after games don't suck either!

ON the other hand, why would Houstan or any team invest 100mm in a man who won't publically recognize his children?

6 children with 5 different women.

in 2004 this was written about him:

His Faith:

Dwight is known not only for his game, but also for his faith in Christ. He publicly talked about his goal of changing the image of the NBA. The NBA has image has been criticized for years, tarnished by player’s attitudes and arrests. Dwight talked about his vision of a cross being incorporated into the NBA logo, even though revealing this vision could lead to persecution and the loss of money in endorsements. He discussed ways that he would share his faith with other players in the league as well as fans that he met along the way. While so many other stars in professional sports concern themselves with the popularity and money, Dwight’s main concern has remained the same: to be used by God, in a position that God has placed him in, to show people the love of Christ.

Dwight has vowed to keep from compromising his faith in his business affairs, as well as in his actions. He promised to avoid any situations that would cause people to question his faith or turn people away from Christ. The words were there, but could he live up to it? He had placed himself under the microscope of a world that loves to see Christians fall

Ok, so Dwight did not live up to this and is just a meer mortal!

But live up to it man! Have as many kids and women as you want but the two faced gig is old!

From a basketball standpoint he is compelling. As the fact of a franchise he is not exactly a good image. Morally inconsistant and openly immature.

Is Houston firing McHale? He has a young team and they won 45 games. Also, after the death of his daughter I can't imagine that they would let him go unless he wanted to go.

I know you got it bad for McHale and Lin but it could be seen that McHale did a great job if you consider the Rockets season and level of talent.
Lets be real, the only thing that defines Lin and expectations to many is his contract.
Asik also, as he was a bench player for chicago. Parsons was a steal in the draft but still had to be coached. Harden is a star and paid like one but also a new role for him as the alpha player instead of 6th man.

Look at it this way, they had about the same season as the Lakers!!!!!!

I think there is some confusion here. I thought that when you suggested Dwight reunite with SVG you were suggesting that SVG was going to be coaching the Rockets and that McHale would be fired. I don't think McHale should be fired and thought that was clear in my post. I also 'don't have it bad for McHale and Lin' and I am not sure how you got that impression from my reply to you. If you have read anything I have written in regards to the Lin situation you know that I don't 'have it bad for Lin'. Also, I don't watch the Rockets but from a distance I agree with you that getting that team to 45 wins was a nice accomplishment by McHale.

I must have lumped you in with some who thinks McHale is to be fired and looking to Lin's failures than his accomplishments.

According to Mark Jackson, the Nuggets were playing dirty vs Curry.....Look for yourself.....

This is the playoff and you have to expect things to get a little chippy. With that said, Faried clearly elbowed and tried to trip Curry @1:40 mark which makes one wonder if he was going after the ankle.....I'm guessing Mark is pulling a Phil Jackson move by pleading through the media for a favorable whistle in game 6....

The LA Clippers problem is Blake Griffin hasn't taken his offensive or defensive game to the next level. Dude has all the physical tools to dominate nightly. Instead he seems content to just get by.

Curry needs to take a page out of Reggie Millers book then and overemphasize every little amount of content he recieves and force the officials to make calls. Yes it's flopping but if they are going to push him around then he'll have to fight back that way. It's not like the NBA will actually punish him for that.

Lump DeA Jordan into that equation who will make 11 mil next year and Blake is getting the max...not sure how they are going to improve because player won't take less to play there unless u are n the cusp of something great..

I don't see anything wrong with the fouls they gave to Curry. This is basketball this is not basket weaving.

Really like how Action Jackson handles himself as a coach. I would say he is more JVG than the Zen Master.

Chris Paul isn't leaving LA because they can pay that 5th year and he has bad knees. He will resign and force a trade at a later date if he has to.

WELL who does in your opinion guns? The clippers are pretty much a young team,. I mean their core is.. they are playing a very good memphis team, both teams are very different, but equally matched. I said this before that blake griffin has to add more to his game than just jumping over everyone, I said this from day one... He has the time to do this, kid is still very young, as is jordan, it is a progression, heck after 10 seasons, knicks fans are hoping certain player will change as well..

I would not change much with the clippers if they lose this series, the grizz are very good... no shame in losing to them...

If Clips lose, any chance they take a flyer on Phil Jackson? He will be in LA and Clips have all the parts.

They do need to make changes. Clipper minus Chris Paul couldnt even make the playoffs. Chris Paul has knee issues and he isn't getting any younger. I expect changes in their front court since Jordan nor Blake can make a dam free throw.

I get the feeling that Paul would pass up on the 5th year to be in a better position get a ring at this stage in his career. I don't know if he would be able to force Sterling to do anything. The man is a slumlord.

Yeah, you never know, but it seems like he cares A LOT about winning.
