Shamet! 2-0

Knicks may sweep a third series. Might be some kind of record?

It’s too late or early to read through the whole thread, but I have point out (and am assuming it has already been pointed out) that the Knicks haven’t even played well during this series yet. Yes, some guys have had good games and contributed greatly despite the team not truly clicking as it has during the first 11 games of this winning streak. Folks have made up for the shortcomings of teammates, but the team isn’t playing well. And it’s not because the Spurs are outplaying them, because they are obviously nowhere near their best ball either. The fight in these Knicks is something.

A win is a win = 100%, but I’m waiting for the real Knicks to show up.

And then there’s the officiating…total 💩 show these first two games.

“Review the goaltend”.
“It’s clearly a goal tend. It bounced off the glass. Not even close. KAT even agreed.”
“Roll the tape”
“That’s just a waste of time.”
“Yess… waste of time. Let Wemby rest. Strong boys need their rest”.
You know I gonna spin wit it

Silver is gonna hit him in the knee with a pipe like Nancy Kerrigan

Did you see Fox try to bait Brunson into a fight last night? The spurs want a bench clearing brawl
So bad so Silver can start suspensions of the Knicks

man I woke up with a headache. Didn't sleep so excited after the win. Saturday I wanted to go for a bike ride but I doubt I got the energy. But if I feel depleted after a win, imagine how San Antonio feels. Knicks players must feel exhausted but peaceful. Spurs players must feel exhausted and dejected. Refs must feel even worse as their plans went down.

credit to SA's defense, though the refs are really allowing them to mug Brunson, but hey thats the playoffs. credit to them, but man, we have not played or shot really well. Brunson is 19 for 56 and 4 for 17 from 3 and we are up 2-0. Pretty wild. We withstood the Wemby bounce back game and took their best shot. Now they gotta deal with a rabid MSG>

KAT wsa fantastic. Fck Them Refs for sidelining him. This game was over until they sandbagged KAT to give Wemby a chance. Fcking Cheaters. FU Adam Silver

Great games by OG and Bridges

NOTE: Deuce's ball handling has been disastrous. We've got issues with protecting the ball when he's on the floor with Alvarado

On point. We need to refine deuces role

I know I'm a broken record about Kolek, but he's a better shooter than Alvarado and he's much better ball handler than either of them and our offense typically locks in when he's on the floor. We really need to pair one of those two with Kolek, but the two of them should never be on the floor together. I'd even prefer Clarkson to handle the ball over GTA and Deuce.

It is my only remaining complaint, because otherwise Brown deserves all the compliments in the world for getting us to play elite ball at both ends of the court.

Don't disagree on Kolek part BUT thought Jose has been solid last 2 games.

Hell we were rolling until Brown subbed most of starters back -- think it was Jose/Deuce/Mikal/Shamet/Mitch where lead was around 10 and then we subbed and slubbed rest of way.

Think Kolek is going to be a LEGIT problem next year.

Jose has been a bit better this series than the earlier series. He's OK. As long as he doesn't turn it over I can live with him since we're here, we're lit and this team is the sh!t

Yes Kolek is a better PG on offense than deuce but Kolek can’t stop a cold.

Jose, deuce, shamet, Mikal and Mitch. This is our best defensive lineup off the bench. Brown is a smart coach who understands that defense wins championships even though deuce handle is suspect. But that’s not new, his defense and scoring is why he’s on the floor. Jose shot is streaky but his tenacity on defense is infectious.

Kolek can not match these guys defensive energy right now. If he wants playing time under this coach, he needs to get stronger this summer and work on his defense otherwise he will be in the same position next season. Cheering from the bench.

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!

Kolek has great energy, but coaches aren't going to trust many 2nd year players in these games. Jose is a better defender and more seasoned at this point.

we have shot 41 and 42% these first two games and still won. Spurs defense is great, but we are going to get hot at some point. Holding Spurs to 99ppg in 2 games on their home floor in this era is just wild.

I refer you to Castle and Dylan Harper.
Its not about being a second year player. If he had the talent, he'd play

Kolek has talent, but you're comparing him to top 3 picks, those guys are the exceptions and the Spurs are in the finals because they hit on those picks. I said coaches aren't going to trust MANY 2nd year players in these games. Kolek isn't ready, just like it took Deuce a few years. But lets not forget we don't win the cup against this same team without Kolek.

yea he was playing great ball in real minutes when we picked up gta. i don’t think it’s unreasonable to assume he would have continued his progression if he had still been getting significant minutes from then to now
