And, yo!, Allen was a gif-maker all evening . . . "First team All Defense! First team all Defense!"

I think defense from the guards in the NBA is more important than the interior guys. And think about this--the Knicks have the worst defender in the nBA as their starting PG.

You can work with a rim protecting C and two good guards on D--youre PF just needs to play team defense and score 20+.

Yet you would rather we get David Lee than Danny Green

He's a strange one- everyone was saying the same thing after last years playoffs (when he also looked great), then he had a very disappointing regular season. Now he's playing great again- maybe it was just injuries (but he does seem to be injury prone), or maybe he just raises his game in the playoffs- it'll be interesting to see what kind of player he turns out to be.

I don't think people get to see him often but in the playoffs, everyone is watching..The guy gets to the rim as quickly as anyone I have seen...He can create for others too..I'm wondering if it's a mistake to have Wall constantly hogging the ball...They can be a dynamic duo for the next decade if they tune up their defense, and both work knocking down a consistent jumper..Beal is the real deal..He doesn't have Westbrook's explosiveness, heart or energy, but he can be a toned down, polished version of Westbrook..

I love Tony Allen. Memphis was fun to watch last night. It's weird how Steph Curry getting the MVP immmediately made the Warriors less likeable somehow... I guess it's like when an actress wins an Oscar and she goes from being called underrated to being called overrated immediately? Ah, human nature. But- Tony Allen!

I believe quite a few posters reffered to him as "Chump"
I always like Iman and thought his injury, Woodson and his lack of system, lack of quality development coaches, and lack of players that actually played DEFENSE together with him/in an uptempo system too

When Iman played his best ball as a rookie prior to the injury and we obviously missed leadership to go with defensive talent to fit his strenghts/skill set

Lin
Iman
Fields/Bill Walker
JJ/Novak
Tyson Chandler

Didn't Woodson take over and led that team to a 18-6 record?

I don't miss shump because he is really the same player in Cleveland as he was in NY. He is always up and down. The second to last month of his sophomore year Shump had an awesome run. He had a nice short run earlier this year too. Shump is still a below average player having a great 5 game run.

Dude is an above average defensive player..Those don't grow on trees..NY fans and media always have unrealistic expectations for their young players and when they don't meet those expectations, they want them gone..Shump could be a nice role player off the bench who can D up on your best offensive player in a big spot..

What did Sugar Ray say" always win the last 10 seconds of the rd" If Iman plasy this way--and I doubt that they will move JR back into the SL--if he plasy this way and Clev wins--dude is going to get cash. he already going to be paid but he still has the ability to make much more.

his defense comes and goes too. I like his on ball defense but he stayed getting back door'd and would die on screens constantly. He would also get in foul trouble for his overaggressive. Under 5m Shump is a nice role player at times but an inconsistent shooting defender can be found in the d-league or as an fa.(briggs stop hacking my pc.) j/k

Better them than us. Flashy dunks aside, he's just to streaky to be counted on as a starter. It also doesn't say a lot about his ball IQ that a d-leaguer and a bench riding Euro was able to pick up the offense faster than he was.

If role players weren't inconsistent they would be stars..
