We get a good start but we know our weeknesses.
We are old and slow. To compensate we need a lot of bodies plaing short minutes.
When inguries came this became painfully clear.
Kid canot do it well in more that 20 min.
Felton need to be reinfirced and kept in check. Olter old dudes will be in and out.
The teem will go as far as Melo will take them.
It was clear right from the start and nothing changed.
As season will go on and minutes will add up we will see more struggles.
The hope is that STAT and shrimp will come back and bring some game with them. But who knows?

And then when someone says something negative about Felton, you think they're making him the scapegoat. So which one do you want?

Like any elite team. If Durant goes down, Kobe, rose, Duncan, Lebron, garnett

Not a bad guy. Agreed.

You like or dislike guys but I am never sure why. Are you a stat geek or not? Is a TS of 47 percent a "pretty good" player? How about WS? Or, only when it is convenient? It is not bad for 4 mil though.

Fields was/is trash - I know you stick to our picks but you gotta cut the chord on this one.

Brewer is better than he has shown (IMHO)

Could not agree more!

JR is a STEAL at 2.5, Woody just has to use him smartly

Felton is a good deal at 4 million but now we have a 4 million dollar PG

4 million dollar point guard is the main reason we are 2-2 with Melo right now.

This 1000%

16 and 7 assist at 40% with less attempts. I'll take that for what we paid and melo, chandler and amre taking Thr bulk of the shots. Throw in once every 4 games him going off. Nothing wrong with that. Like I said u can't have a allstar at every position. Past champions have proven u don't need a stud or even an above average pg to win.

What team (non triangle offense and Houston) won it all with a weak PG?

And even those triangle teams had low usage/high IQ guys at the position and so did Houston which was a team built with shooters just waiting for a kick out.

The Knicks run a PG-centric offense

Ol' bruise hands had a bad night. Old man kidd too. Chanler didn't do anything on D but shove Lin. Brewer sucked and needs a week or two vacation to rest his hand and knee.

Very bad game.

+100. This is the point that I was trying to make earlier. The Knicks started the season injury-hit so they needed everybody to stay healthy til those guys returned. Now that other guys have gone down, including the superstar, they're starting to feel it. Luckily, Melo's injury isn't long term.

felton almost never gets to the line and that's one problem among many. no savvy to his game at all-- that's another problem.

the knicks are very boring to watch with him trying to run things.

39TS% wow is that bad.

that said the defense was very bad.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Luckily they'll all get a much needed rest around New Years. I believe they've got about three days off around that time.

It was an off shooting night - Kidd and Novak couldn't buy a bucket - that happens.

Felton's play is alarming and that has been a glaring issue

dk,

I usually find your analysis pretty in depth. Someone mentioned Baron Davis and had he had a high bball IQ.

whats your take on him?

Miami, Dallas, lakers..Knicks do not run a pg centric offense...they run a melo and when healthy amare centric offense just like Dallas ran a dirk centric offense. Things look pg centric when u remove the stud players out the equation.

No doubt.
But my concern is about very short window this team has.
We need Melo at 100% but we also need all luck in world to get to the top quickly.
It was cool so far but luck is just a probability fluctuation. 82 games will not lie...
