hey, the pistons are the best team in the league right now and we played them toe to toe.

When Larry settles on a rotation and Curry returns, I'd like to play them again.

This time at the Garden!

Great Friday night viewing.

When we get 6 straight home games, that's when we'll be Gellin like Magellin

January 19th @ MSG, fella. We will be ready for them.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Teh refs shut down the starbury show, unfortunately

It was a combination of the Piston's and LB.

Steph's always been stoppable with either a high trap or packing the lane. He only goes right and is only effective if he can blow by with his first step. When either or both of those are taken away he's just a streaky outside shooter, which LB doesn't appreciate.

At home marbs gets those calls, on the road he doesn't.

I don't agree that that isn't the way the NBA is, just 2 days ago, marbs was turning that move into a parade to the line.

While you qualified the statement with everytime, I still disagree with the post.

I'm not trying to nitpick here Knight BUT. This was the first game all year where Steph didnt have the drive and layup working. I mean you weren't saying this any of the other games when he played well. PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE, give some semblance of having a balanced opinion.

Steph played bad tonite, I'll be first admit it but to say that what he does, doesnt work is just wrong because he takes advantage of it every game.

I actually heard some head referee guy say that on NBATV last year.

steph had a great game up until EVERY knick had a bad 3rd. Then he helped lead the team back along with Craw and the kids.

I was responding to another poster who had the other opinion, so it balances out.

Some observations:
1.) Marb rarely gets calls when he's hammered in the lane- 3 straight no calls in the lane (4th qurter) and the pistons go on a run with the outlet passes. After that marbury stopped driving as much and the offense stagnated
2.) The knicks as a team get called for a lot of bull$4it calls so as to bail out popular players and allow the refs to dictate the outcome
3.) We are not a good team, but the refs aren't helping things
3.) Bill Walton is a stupid, brillo-headed prick

Teh refs shut down the starbury show, unfortunately

A foul's a foul. And a non-foul is a foul, if it's on the knicks.

marbs just doesn't get a lot of the legit calls that chauncey, prince and go were getting, probably due to his attitude. I wouldn't say he was using a "heat-sinking" maneuver so much as beating his man off the dribble and then getting mauled in the lane. If that was dwade or any other pet-star they would've had a conga line to the line all through the 4th quarter.

Well whatever, can you comment on the other part of my post. This is the first game all year Steph hasn't gotten that call, every other game he gets it and lots of them.

A game for the knicks to lose with their heads held high. They held their own on the boards, committed less turnovers. Didn't get the benefit of the refs calls, faced a couple of hot shooters without their center and couple of player not yet in game shape and still were close at the end. Not being a polyanna but this team is making the playoffs.

Stephon may not have been scoring well, but his 11 point/assist night definitely contributed to the effort.

NOt to harp on the ref issue, because the knicks lost to a great team, but when Big Ben got posterized, everyone saw him get hit in the face and sent to the floor...no call. (road game)

And when craw threw up that whacky bucket (that went in) Rip grabbed him right before the shot...no call. (road game).

Once the knicks finally have back to back home games, we'll see the league start to shift in our favor, but so far, it's been road game city.

the pistons played marbs perfectly down the stretch, luckily Craw picked up the slack. We'll get them at home...should be a doozy.

Pistons just know how to play Steph. Last year Steph's season averages against Detroit: 13.3/5.3 -- and 2.3 FTA, which was less than against any other team.

Yeah, I loved the game in the first quarter, we play that way against the Celtics on SUnday and we're up by 20 at the half.

I'm really liking what I'm seeing. It was interesting when a commentator questioned Jackie butler being on the floor and he comes up with a block and scores on the other end...I see Larry bringing this team together.

Hey, and everyone remember, no Curry.

great LB quote-referring to the Pistons -"I looked out there and saw four Nates" compliment to the Pistons and Nate's intensity
