This is the exact thing Marx warned about. Greedy people letting their last for money go out of control and becoming enslaved by an inanimate object with no real value.
Marks is a Man... but Lenin, Mao, and Stalin enhanced his ideas even better.
Using his teaching they enslaved hundreds of millions to serve ideas which have great values on their own.
Sad this people rebel and screw them over. We need to try it in America... may be it will work this time?
I know you are kidding about trying it here but it is scary as it is exactly where the "progressive" movement will end up if its left to them. The progressive movement is lead by the communist radicals who think they can make it work with another try. I wonder how is Venezuela doing these days? Oh right it looks alot like the final days of the USSR. The policies are a death sentence for the people. The saddest part is the failure of communism is not even taught in schools.
They do not learn about the millions murdered by Stalin, Lenin, Mao, Castro, Chavez and others. Instead these leaders are glorified! OMG!
Keep on telling about the things you have seen first hand. Perhaps one day, people will understand how damn good the American ideal was and still is.
What are some examples of proposals that progressives are making that are dangerously close to communism?
Horrors such as free universal health care! I hope we all never have to not worry about not being able to afford health care if we get ill- fear of death due to lack of money is the founding, cherished value that America was built on!
WOW of course on the surface free healthcare sounds great to you. It is intended to. What they don't tell you is what happens when $300mil to half a billion citizens inevitably get sick. You've had a taste of what happens with obamacare. Doctors speading 40hours a week fighting insurance companys who refuse to pay and give approval. 40hrs they used to spend with their patients face to face. Now you don't even know who your doctor is. You have to deal with a different one every visit. Explain your entire medical history every single time. Conflicting diagnosis and suggestions etc. If you are lucky to see your doctor you wait a long all day as he rushes through several patients before getting to you. Then he prescibes meds that insurance no longer covers. Followup and Appointments and procedures are no longer scheduled on the spot. They tell you they will call you and then never do. You call them and get a voicemail or constant busy signal. You are forced to go their in person. All the good doctors wind up quitting obamacare leaving patients with 2nd/3rd class doctors and care.
Of course obamacare is only the beginning. "Free" healthcare has so seriously ravished South American countries that they put off major surgeries for the following year. Here people lose it if they are told they have to wait a month. "Free" Healthcare is only one aspect of socialism that puts an entire nation in trillions of dollars in debt.
Of course "free" healthcare sounds great nut like gonygo said. Keep believing that if it makes you all warm and fuzzy inside.
Hmmm.. This exactly hove healthcare was in USSR.
Is it strange that the same solutions lead to the same results...
+1
I forget, what happened in 1989? All those people tore walls down because they just didn't appreciate the great life they had in the USSR? Or was it all just a right-wing conspiracy? Afghanistan didn't make a difference? Of course not.Of course free healthcare sounds great when being peddled by a miscreant, unqualified POTUS who's never had to worry about healthcare in his life. Did Obama or his family ever have to wait 8 hours to get an MRI in a hospital? Did Mrs. Obama ever sweat over whether the crap they were getting about one of their daughters was coming from some sort of quack doctor? Of course not. No, i'm pretty sure law professors don't worry about the same sheehit us unwashed, uneducated rabble have to deal with.
Unreal. People posting commercials for the good ol' USSR. It's come to this.
So Obamacare will take us to the roots you are trying to escape from in Communist USSR and Socialist South America..WOWI don't think you guys get it..Obamacare is for people without healthcare not the general population..Why do you care what type of service people who don't have healthcare have..Compare it to having nothing..The rest of the population have normal coverage thru their jobs or on their own..Some how you feel that the coverage provided to the 20/30 million who fell through the cracks are going to affect the healthcare of the 300 million other citizen who are covered by normal healthcare..WHY DO REPUBLICANS CARE SO MUCH ABOUT THE POOR/UNINSURED GETTING SUBSIDIZED HEALTHCARE????..It just pisses you off to see some one get help???..Thanksgiving turkey giveaways and soup kitchens must be for commies...
There is nothing wrong about universal healthcare.
But implementation of it should not reduce the quality of medical treatments and should not increase the cost of insurance to the extend working people and companies cannot afford it.
Give me some examples when uninsured people were denied emergency room treatment, life saving surgery, life support medication, etc.?
It was hard on emergency room personal and hospitals financially and operationally to treat uninsured and it get better now.
Universal healthcare is inevitable in advanced society. We just need to get it right.
Obamacare is a step in right direction but not the first step but one in a chain of long term trend.
And it needs to be improved and cleaned up.
Was it a step in right direction - absolutely.
was it done right is to be seen.
It's not Universal Healthcare..The majority of the country have private healthcare, 300 million people...Obamacare address the pockets of individuals who don't have healthcare..So these people now can pay emergency rooms unlike before...
It's not healthcare when you want the poor to use the emergency room as their primary care physician..That's nuts..We bear the cost for that don't we???..It's better to preempt that visit..Please stop listening to politicians in your party for answers and read for yourself...
