Different version of Grimes as a prospect and dev trajectory?

This guy has Knicks pick written all over him IMHO

Been talking McCullar for a while. People compare him to Hart. He is more like Grimes with less shooting. Love this guy. Has an injury concern

To me the most Knicks-y and thibs-y guys in the projected 24-38 range are Scheierman, Dunn, McCullar, and Shead. All guys with an nba ready skill of shooting or defending and known for their work ethics, toughness and IQ. I would be surprised if one of these guys didn’t end up a knick.

And I know 24/25 might be too high for a guy like Shead but we know the Knicks like to move around a lot during the draft and I could easily see them trading back a few spots to grab an extra future second round pick and taking Shead if they think he’s the same caliber as guys available in the 24/25 range.

I think we will be moving around quite a bit - i wouldnt be surprised if we ended up with big wing like Dunn/Freeman, a PG like Shead and a big like Adem Bona or even Filipowski if he slips.

Bizarre Trevor Keels. Kevin Peltin has him dropping to our range in his latest mock. He's dropping, but I could see this being a Cam Whitmore situation. Really needs to refine his outside shot, but I think he checks couple of Thibs' boxes with his attacking style.

Another guy I could see Thibs' falling for in the second round in or as a USDA.

I've completely neglected this draft.

I usually watch all videos and scouting reports but I just wasn't into it this this year and plus I kind of expect us to trade out. I don't think we are looking to add 3 rookies to a win now team.

But from the very little I've read and watched, it's probably going to be Dunn cause of his defense, a Euro stash and someone for Westchester. Meh.

You know this draft sucks if people are trying to convince themselves that Clingan could go #1. That said, the reason I'm not that in to this year's draft is the amount of success the team had this year. My mindset has changed from who they can develop to who can help them now.

No obvious 1-3 as many years have, nor the intrigue of who goes 1st of them.
Good drafts have Future HOF'ers like Wade at 5th, or Kawhi at 8th.
OR Spida at 14th!!!!!
But we don't know until we get down the road.
That was are picking so low makes for interesting times because there is value in the draft with sleepers and EuroStash's to be had! NIL money making all scenarios kind of nutty as mid major players moving to blue chip programs later make for interesting times.
We have top two picks by many to be French kids? Last year it was wemby.
We long past Weis and Rony Turiaf talents!!!!
Maybe teams drop back and want our two picks? Maybe we move up? Burn some of that draft currency?
Will we have any of our two free agents signed by Wednesday??

I haven't followed college hoops in a long time and didn't watch a single game this year.

that said i saw a write up of Cody Williams and thought that's the guy i/we want. then saw he's no secret and looks like a lottery pick

not sure how we make it happen but that's the guy i'm watching

Yeah, Williams was being hyped by some as the possible #1 earlier in the college season. He's about raw and I I would've liked to see what he looked like with another year under his belt. His brother Jalen had a few years to develop in college before he went to the NBA.

Knicks are keeping it very close to the vest as are our free agents representation.
CAA of course!!!!

Incredible the amount of media talking about Mitch being traded or Paul George coming here.
I think most of us who stay on top of things see the BS and hype and not taking much bait.
At the same time we have little insight to really what our FO is up to.

ON other fronts the Timberwolves trade rumors are pretty chill given their circumstances.

Tomorrow I have my tennis match and perhaps do the tape delay on draft. Or I won't watch. No knick drama unless they start trading up.

As for knicks? This FO surprised me with the OG trade for IQ and RJ and even more so that they ****ing nailed it!
That team was scary until Jules went down. They still contended well until we simply fell apart physically.

For the most part this team and FO earned most of fans respect and we don't have much drunk uncles who know better these days. The draft is so wide open and our needs varied its tough to dial in with 3 picks sort of bunched together. Not much knick rumors either like "Jerami Grant" to Dallas stuff.
