in the other one argentina beats the dutch because fifa won't allow two european teams to play for final (it would not look good),

similarly, fifa would not allow argentina to win the cup in brazil,to do so would be to spit on brazil because brazil historically does not like their southern neighbors so much,

germany wins the trophy because germany, out of all countries remaining, is in the best relations with brazil (germany brazil japan india are in the g4 group and they mutually support each other for permanent member status in UN security council; germany has strong ties with brazil and also built a training camp in brazil for the cup which i presume will pass into brazilian hands after the tournament as a token of good will),

everyone wins and brazil doesn't erupt into social disorder because a colombian player was responsible for crippling neymar and to be honest brazil underachieved all tournament,

everyone wins.

Parts of Southern Brazil (I forget where exactly-- Brazil is humongous) have tons of German influence due to immigration at some point a hundred years or so ago (Giselle BUNDCHEN for example). There are also towns down there that stil get dressed up in traditional German garb and do other traditional "German stuff" (whatever that may be it's been a while since that "Brazilian literature and culture" class I took as an undergrad a million years ago).
