Stat had some moments (offensively) and will come around (I think)

Defensively, he was right back to game form

I am with ya there I rather start White and let brewer sit a few games.

white has shown zilch other than bad fouls

I would start Priggs and JKidd

Who would play off the bench at PG if they both are starting?

One thing I have notice is that Pablo is a good defender when he doesn't overplay. I would much rather him just play straight up D and only overplay on the in bounce pass.

Also the front court made Hickson and Aldridge look like Duncan and Robinson.

Once Felton and Shump are back, expect the defense to get much better. Ditto with Sheed.

The Melo one was actually a good shot and the best they will get in that situation. Our best chance to tie.

Like it or not.

The JR one? Eeeeeesh.

24sec left plenty of time. Could have played for the 2 so I beg to differ that was the best shot he could get, especially since the basket prior to he went to the hole for an And1.

Typical Hero Ball type of shot

But as we've been told when you need someone to take the last second shot when the game is close you better have a Carmelo Anthony...

I hope fans are letting it sink in as I've always maintained....WE DON'T WANT TO PLAY GAMES WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO A LAST SECOND SHOT

Instead I want to be leading the game by a few possessions if possible. Last second shots at best you're going to convert about 30% of them and those are of the elite players, which means you're clanking most for losses.

so glad you found a way to blame him. I tried to throw some ideas at you but you done good son.

Don't forget chuck minimum 30 3s

uh ....

I think thats how Portland won.

Portland has no player who can create off the dribble consistently except maybe Lillard and he's a rook. Portland is also barely above .500. If you look at the teams in the Top 15 at 3FGA/gm you'll find some crappy teams to mediocre teams listed

You live and die by the 3. Portland had control the whole game and yet the game was still in the wane of decision.

Also it seems like this is going to be a real test for Woody to show he's got some offensive chops, cuz he's got to come up with some stuff that will work without Felton and with STAT in the Mix. At times you could see there was confusion out there. I look at this game as a needed practice session of sorts.

well said

He's not why we lost, furthest from it but the final shot he took was lazy and crappy. I've put our fools gold chuck system at blame along with our steady declining porous defense.

Although I know you want him to be infallible at all costs

Carmelo can't seriously be getting knocked for missing that last three when he had a 45 point/7 board/4 assist game. And hit a clutch three on an earlier possession.

The team played horrible in the first half and didn't even really deserve the win, frankly.

Put the agenda aside and lates talk real basketball....Portland shot 50% from the field and outrebounded us by 10....Thats why we lost. Portland scored over 100pts which is how much we gave up in each of our last 5 losses I believe...

Now that Felton is out Woody will have to limit Melo's minutes so he can have enough energy to effectively handle the ball in the PnR game to take pressure off of Kidd and Prigs. The game to once Melo and JR attacked. It's going to be tough playing out of position plus handling the ball at the top. The high PnR scheme is very tiring for the ball handler anyway but then to do everything else is going to be a gas.

Do you think he could have taken a better shot down 3 with 24sec? That's the only thing I'm jabbing him on.

Answer the question honestly instead of picking up your spear and shield

Right, pointing to that last shot, when the defender was backing off, is reaching SMH.

lillard can create off the dribble and so can Batum. They also killed us in the PNR. Also, a mediocre team in the west would be a top team in the east (other than Denver :-)

That said, I don't like the rapid 3 ball but all the people who are bitching about that know were nowhere to be found when MDA was doing the gunning

Copeland need to take Novak Mins until Felton and Shumpert comes back. Without the penetration and screens he is completely useless.

When Melo has 45% of our points, is shooting 68% from the field, 45% from 3, has 7 rebounds and 4 assists, you have to try really hard to blame him for this loss.

SO what I'm saying is, thanks for trying really hard. Ur effort isn't going unnoticed. hater.

I have said this before and I know as a fan I hate saying it, but if anyone is paying any attention to the team you will notice that losing is becoming acceptable to this team. I know injuries are a part of this but coming out flat against two very mediocre teams shouldn't sit well with anyone. Take away Smith's buzzer beater and you are looking at a 4 game losing streak. All the signs point to a calapse. As fans to keep harping on the record that they currently have doesn't mean much because it can go away pretty quickly.

The Knicks need to get back to defense and make a commitment to it for rest of the season. So many points in the paint it was disgusting to watch.
