I am not worried about tonight - I know we will get healthier

I am worried and have been for a while about how Felton runs our offense

These are valid concerns and will bite us in the ass come playoff time

This is what I could not stand about baron davis

the reasons. Every team has flaws in their starting lineup. You can't have 5 all star starters play for u.

you also can't have a PG with awful PG skills.

You really need to check his stats - TS% of 47.x percent - [shudder]

I don't care about tonight.

I care that we don't have a real PG for the playoffs (AGAIN)!

People loved Baron Davis here too. I knew he would kill us in the playoffs and guess what?

So we lost to the Heat last year because of Baron Davis?? Lol. Our chances beating the championship favorites went down the toilet because of baron davis? That's what you are telling me. Baron did not hurt us against the heat by the way. So I'm not sure where that comes from. He played decent defense vs wade as had a couple good games playing with a depleted team. I commend him for giving his all for us actually.

In the playoffs I'd rather have Felton then a Lin cause I know Felton isn't backing down from anyone and won't be scared of the stage. Especially against the heat.

I disagree with this on every level!

We did not lose because of BD. BD just stinks and has a really low bball IQ. He gave effort and so does Felton. I have played PG for 30 years - I like a PG who sees the floor and makes others better - and can make other passes other than alley oops.

I would take Lin 110 times out of 100. I don't know what Lin will be but I do know that without difficulty, it will be better than Felton.

LOOK AT HIS NUMBERS!

You get what you pay for.

While I look at Felton's numbers you should look at lins numbers this year. Compare the two and who would any GM pick right now. It's not even close. You get what u pay for us correct so is Lin 2.5 more than felton?

You are correct about his vision but there are only about 5 Pgs in the league that possess this and they cost way more than Lin and Felton combined.

Do u even remember Baron Davis as a player. Low Bball iq has never been his weakness. Injuries and work ethic perhaps but Bball iq?? That's a laughable assertion.

Can I offer my two cents?

I think the Knicks have played remarkably well over the course of the season for a team missing both a big offensive weapon and a defensive one.

But...look at it this way: what if OKC lost Westbrook and (let's say) Sefolosha for 20-30 games, and then Durant went down. So they've basically got Martin and Ibaka for offense. Do you guys really think they wouldn't have a bad loss like this one?

That's the equivalent of what happened tonight, even worse because the Knicks didn't have Sheed or Camby to bring in.

I'm pissed they lost. I just texted my buddy as to how irate I was. But, I believe in keeping things in perspective.

The sky isn't falling. This loss is not all on Felton. Chandler is still awesome. So is Kidd. JR is still feast or famine. Novak had a bad game but is still a terrific shooter on a regular basis. I'm not resting on my laurels; this team has work to do on both ends of the court. But, the Knicks are 18-6. 10-1 at home. With a TON of injuries. That's to be commended. [/steps off pulpit]

Then he's shot attempt shouldn't be the first thing out of your mouth before we play, if we win it doesn't matter. LOLROFLYOLOLOL

Lin has not had a good year but at least you see glimpses of a true PG. With Felton, you know what he is/isn't. And that is not good. Lin will get stronger and stronger. We will certainly see.

Baron Davis always shot way too much and was a score first PG much to the detriment of his team. He actually understood the game but often played like he did not.

BD's career stats are much like Felton's - pretty bad though better than Felton's.

What is funny is that his WS per 48 last year (I just checked) was .014!!! Are you kidding me?

These sabermetrics are looking better and better

Neither Lin or Felton are that great.

Felton is still tradeable. So Im not worried. Lin would have been a difficult sell with his salary.

The fact of the matter is that Lin is a Rocket now. Felton is a Knick. It's that simple. Can we move on from this? Please? :-/

This is true.

Felton was not as big of a risk.

Can we trade him to Denver for Andre Miller?

While I get - and agree- with the Felton criticism, I still think he plays closer to what we saw at the beginning of the season at full strength

based on his career numbers I would say that the beginning of the season was the anomaly

Felton's main problem to me is his conditioning.

Melo played all summer so he didnt have a chance to get out of shape. Im pretty sure Felton got married this summer.

I would like to see Felton dedicate a summer to staying in shape so that he can sustain his productivity for more than the first quarter of the season.

16 and 7 assist at 40% with less attempts. I'll take that for what we paid and melo, chandler and amre taking Thr bulk of the shots. Throw in once every 4 games him going off. Nothing wrong with that. Like I said u can't have a allstar at every position. Past champions have proven u don't need a stud or even an above average pg to win.

He did the same thing his first stint in NYC. Guy starts off hot and falls off hard.

Biggest issue with Felton is he doesnt like coming off the bench. Guy thinks he is a starter but plays like a nimrod sometimes.

Im not exactly talking stat-wise. Im more referring to picking his spots better, making more of an effort to make the extra pass, driving and dishing, and things of that nature.
