I was watching the 2nd half at a cafe. All the other douchebags in there didn't care about the game but I was cheering and very animated during the game. It was weird being the only one reacting to the plays but **** it. It's all good.

Amar'e goes up strong, grabbed by Wade, hit by LeBron, finishes and goes back on defense. Chauncey drives, gets a clear hack that throws him off balance, recovers, and goes in for the layup.

There were some negatives here, but this was a great win so I'm not gonna bog it down with all that stuff tonight. What I will say is that I was glad to see Carter get minutes and play well. Those types of high-IQ, low-price defensive players should be the priority in the off-season or off the buyout market is exactly what the Knicks need to contend, especially somebody like that in the low-post.

Best post of the night especially the astute use of the word fake. It's incredible how snakes climb back into their holes after a win like tonight!

There's gonna be a lot of losses too. Spare us this sort of back and forth all season long.

Not any more. Open your eyes.

You take issue with me pleading for maturity and to stop grandstanding after every win or loss? Okay, you win, it's your night to dance on the tables and drive around town honking your horn.

I know we might be able to talk about this, but I really want to download this game. Anybody know where I could?

BTW when did Shelden Williams get in the game and how did he do? I blinked and missed his appearance.

He played 2 minutes and grabbed a rebound. Shawne played 27 and grabbed 4.

Fun game to watch, and it might also introduce a bit of insecurity into the egos and self-esteem of Wade and James. Good to see those two humbled a bit.

Hate to say this though- it is only one game, and we have a game with Orlando which might arguably be more important in terms of telling us where this team is going.

We seemed to play this game like the fate of the franchise depended on a victory. Can we do this on a continual basis, or will we look like we did against Cleveland the other day. You can't show this kind of defensive intensity one game, and then slack off the next 2 or 3.

By the way, the block by Amare only emphasizes the interest which Briggs (and others) had/has in getting a 5 who can give us some defense in the middle. The play might have ended up like the Jamison drives to the hoop the other day, with Anthony backing up and making no attempt to impede the progress of the guy he was defending,(In this case the lack of contact might have helped because we all know that if anyone even touches James on his way to the hoop he gets the call,) but unlike Cleveland, he had some good help down low and Amare blocked the shot, reminiscent of the beginning of the year when we seemed to be more aggressive as shot blockers.

Some folks have to get a grip on reality and understand that consistency in purpose and effort is what separates the good teams from the very good teams. From what I just heard we will be getting enough rain tomorrow, so I don't want to rain on anyone's parade now, but even though this is a wonderful victory, it is only one victory- we did not win a title last night.

One more thing- this kind of effort will only be duplicated if MDA increases the number of guys he uses in his rotation. You cannot play like this with an 8 man rotation- you need about 10-11 in your rotation to keep guys fresh enough to play like this on a regular basis. It will be interesting to see what he now does. It would also be nice is Azubuike could somehow give us some decent minutes over the final part of the season.

If they had called a foul on that one the NBA would have to do another investigation. Melo was backing up in fear that the ref would call a foul, and I think that James did not expect this. Nice to see him posterized.

(Actually, I just watched the play about 5-6 times- Anthony might have actually got him on the left arm and he was reaching across- did not see this at first. Somewhat obvious at the :19 mark of the video- the ball is in left hand as he is hit.) Just makes it more satisfying, though, since they had missed a number of fouls committed against us, especially a play where Amare was fouled twice on a play where he did manage to make the basket.

The funniest/most amazing play of the night was earlier in the game where James must have taken 4-6 steps on that strange play where he through the ball at the backboard, and actually had the balls to put up some kind of argument about what he had just done.

The mere fact that he would argue over something like that tells you how many calls he gets in his favor on a regular basis.

Right but he's played 10 guys before in a game. It's about him sticking to that rather than going back to his old ways.

I agree for the most part but each night will be different and Coach D will have adjust to each game accordingly (meaning different people for different scenarios). What we originally thought we would miss is depth seems to be available with the guys acquired. Let us hope that the other william will backup Rony when we have problems up front (to be determined when we face bigger teams).

GREAT WIN!!.... Fun game to watch!!.....

We showed alot tonight!!...... Showed we could play with big boys!

That we could over come a huge deficit to a great team.

I can live with Melo as first option Amare as second and Billups as 3rd!

Add some Fields a little Williams some Walker and anything you get from TD..... Another huge rebound tonight ( And got fouled but no call)
and we almost sealed game there!

WOW its fun to be a KNICK FAN!!
