Senator Obama's ahead in ALL of the major polls, and by anywhere from four to ten points.

He also has double digit or near double digit leads in many of the swing states now. I think the realities of the Bush-McCain policies are finally hitting people.

i would not take sarah too lightly. first impressions may have people thinking mccain has lost his mind. but sarah will have her say when she takes biden head on.

if the strategy should be to neutralize biden.......just watch the vp debate

this has the making of greatest upset in american politics

I will say this--I watched her on CSPAN from a taped interview in Feb this evening and she is no joke. She is intelligent and well-versed on energy issues. After watching that I think she WILL not only appeal to women but I think that a multitude of men will find her appealing to the point that they might be swayed that way. My personal opinion is she is not qualified and I would be scared to death if she was the President but when people actually get to see her in action--they will realize she is an IMPACT player. I stand by my statement--that Barack should've taken Hillary because this lady is going to impress.

lol

Wow. What I viewed on Cspan was a good moment I guess. She was good on Cspan and very good at the convention but boy has she turned into one scary joke. I cringe before she speaks.

And with McCain's age and cancer, there's a realistic possibility that she could become our 45th President. Obviously we all hope nothing bad happens to McCain but you have to consider that possibility.

"I know one thing: this is no time for further gambling. John McCain rolled the dice on Sarah Palin. I'm grateful to Bob Rice of Tangent Capital for pointing out that the actuarial risk, based on mortality tables, of Palin becoming president if the Republican ticket wins the election is about 1 in 6 or 7.

That's the same odds as your birthday falling on a Wednesday, or being delayed on two consecutive flights into Newark airport. Is America ready for that?"

lets see if palin can name a newspaper she reads tonight, or further explains her foreign policy prowess based on the fact that shes "just over the horizon" from russia even though moscow (and new york city!) are over 4000 miles from wasilla, AK.

I heard there's a 2 out of 3 chance that Palin would have to replace McCain if McCain were to serve two terms.

I find it disturbing that McCain and his campaign felt it necessary for him to sit next to Palin in an interview with Couric. The guy looked like he was defending his daughter rather than a vice president nominee. The man actually began answering questions for her which I found disrespectful. Meanwhile, Obama and Biden are campaigning apart and I think only had three appearances together. As pointed out on CNN, since being named Biden has given 90 interviews compared to Palin's 4. Something ain't right about that. I don't care how she does tonight, it's a mirage. Those aren't are words or beliefs. It's like Garbage In Garbage Out tatics. Cramming for a big exam, it shows you have a great memory but it doesn't indicate you have an understanding of the topic.

Its not time for the dems to panic. We got 7 weeks to go.

Debates will be telling. They ShOULD sort it all out.

McCain should pale against Obama. Biden is a great speaker and should do well.

Obama needs to get this muslim thing done. Its not whether its fact or not, it needs to go away.

Its not the the truths Dems have to deal with, its the perceptions.

What many have to realize is red states don't vote whom they like, they vote to christian values first and foremost. Second is many voters are afraid of the black man, and the black man with a muslim name.

Im not saying thats the truth, but the perception. And that is a problem.

It is logical that Obama and Biden are the better ticket, but elections are emotional!

Im wondering if Hillary was even willing to accept the VP? She would wipe Palin away in 5min. Biden should also.

Palin as president is one scarey thought.

i agree, its not time for the dems to panic.....heard this driving home today. checkout brian lehrer at wnyc.org. is obama being swiftboated ?

i also agree, debates should tell all.

right now very little is being directed against biden... wonder if elephants are loading up for biden to deliver final blow when it counts.

obama picking biden is a no brainer....unlike hillary, in my opinion, biden actually believes in obama

biden should be able to wipe the fatty omega out of palin.... no contest

it was obvious, because of the latter interviews, sarah lost public confidence shortly after her nomination. in this vp debate sarah was making up for lost support. while she was trying to be smart, witty and cute, by contrast joe reminded americans what really matters.

the power and responsibility of vp was too general in sarah's response compared to joe, which for me made the distinction who has real experience, and knowledge and who does not....extremely important in time of crisis

the plus for sarah is mccain's selection at this point in time should grow in future years to challenge hillary.....scratch

I will never agree with Palin's policies, but I could see her being a credible candidate with 4-5 years of experience on the national level. If she finished out her term and then came to Washington as a senator or a cabinet member, I think she could grow enough to be credible in 4-5 years. Right now though, she hasn't got a clue. She is just repeating what she memorized the past 3 weeks and has no real depth on any subject. Even her discussion on energy was superficial. The only thing she did with energy is twist the arms of the oil companies to pay Alaskans a little more. I guess that is challenging them, but that is not really an energy policy.

Forget Tina Fey

Sarah Palin in The White House is Lucy Ricardo working on the candy assembly line.

Totally over her head and struggling to keep up.

If Palin cannot handle one hour on Meet The Press, how is she supposed to handle The Oval Office?

She has some 'splainin' to do.
