rumor has it the Yankees are seriously pursuing Huston Street from the Rockies, & Cashman reportedly already approached them about his availability earlier this season & the Rockies have already started scouting our minor league system... stay tuned, we may have our setup solution in the late innings.

Houston Street is pretty good.. he'd make a good replacement for Mo when that day eventually comes. The only thing to be wary about Street is that he's been injured quite a few times already in his young career, so it's something to watch for.

Why would Colorado trade him? Is he an FA this upcoming off-season?

Street has been great the past month or so. He'd be an interesting acquisition. Meanwhile the guy who took over for him at Texas, J. Brent Cox has quit baseball. He looked like he was on the fast track in 2006 and then got hurt and was never the same.

Phil Hughes, in addition to gaining 3-4 mph on his fastball since he's been in the pen, has been throwing that curveball over for strikes. He has been much more dangerous with these two pitches rather than throwing that cutter which he did as a starter.

I don't want to give up on him in the rotation, especially with Wang so shaky, but right now he has been a huge boost to the pen. Its a good thing we didn't send him down.

Cano is really struggling out there. He's been the human rally killer

Surprised the Mets are not walking Jeter here to force the Yankees hand with Rivera

Rivera walks and drives in a run! Talk about a new way of going about getting a save....

It was an amazing act of stupidity to even throw Jeter pitch 1.

Great to see Mo get up to bat again and even get a rbi. I have a feeling when Mo says his career is ending that he's going to get a pinch-hit AB in one of the last games of the season.

Mo gets his 500th save, his first RBI as the Yanks win '4-2'. It was in the stars.

Time to start using Mo as a pinch hitter!

That swing was a real nice swing... I watched that with some buddies, one of which hates baseball, and even he was impressed.

Looks like the Yankees might pursue Joe Mauer too... which would be awesome.

The Yanks really should go to pursue Joe Mauer. Mauer is such a good hitter and a decent catcher. We need another catcher with posada is his last leg at the catcher spot. Not to mention the bosox are going to make a run on him too.
