Feels like Knicks and Spurs have very quickly built up a rivalry. Aside from a very physical, contentious Finals we had build up with:

Brunson/Wemby duel in SA; Brunson's 61 vs Wemby's 40/20 in OT.
The Christmas Day matchup.
NBA Cup

Expect a warm welcome when SA returns to the Garden next year.

It's funny but I've heard no one panning the Spurs for night shaking the Knicks hand before walking off court. Isiah Thomas got **** in 89 for that, and LeBron caught flack during his first stint with the Cavs for the same "lack of sportsmanship". Whether the media chooses to acknowledge it or not, Wemby has quickly become of the biggest POS's in the league. I hope the dude never wins anything after the way he carried himself this series

FWIW Luke kornet shook the Knicks hands and congratulated them. Wouldn’t mind seeing him as a Knick again

Those shots might get lost in it all, but with Shamet & Deuce ice cold we needed them badly. All the slack he got for not being a shooter but he was the shooter when needed.

Hart's rebounding is often a critical factor for us. It was last night too.

All of Wemby's trash talk "I'm in your head" didn't work out so well

I just imagined Wemby being unable to stop hearing inside his own head all off-season long The Cranberries song "Zombie"

"in your head, in your head, Zombie, Zombie"

How fitting that Mitch snagged that rebound from Wemby for the kickout. That effectively sealed the deal with OG ultimately putting us up by 4

I was so, so, so happy for Mitch

Kornet is a tough contributor. Good rebounder and great shot blocker. Wouldn't mind him on our bench if Mitch walks.

I still cannot believe it. I've always dreamt of it happening but I honestly never thought I would ever see it. Always wondered if I'd cry too and yeah, I did cry. Not ashamed to admit it. First time in my life I think I cried happy tears. This team means so much to me. I cried of happiness and for that 11 year old me who cried himself to sleep when we lost Game 7 in 1994 and all those nights after losses where he thought he'd never see a championship.

Beyond grateful and thankful for Jalen Brunson. He changed my life and all of our lives. His journey and story were just perfect. Told he was too small, not a 1A, not good enough, blah blah and blah. And he showed the world who he is. Amazing man, leader and player. Put the team on his back last night. Everything was going against us. Nobody could make a shot, zebras were on their bull**** with the bogus fouls and Brunson would have none of it. Mikal chipped in eventually. So happy for that dude too! Mitch with that huge offensive rebound! 8 years here, was on a 17 win team and is now an NBA Champion! So happy for Mike Brown, Leon Rose and even James Dolan too. All ridiculed for different reasons but they did what couldn't be done. So happy for the entire team, coaching staff and front office. All a bunch of a good guys. Wearing the heaviest jersey in the league with class. We didn't need a LeBum or KD to do it either! And lastly, seeing the old timers like Ewing, Starks, Spree and Houston also be part of it made it that more special.

Also beating a clasless diry POS like Wemby made it sweeter. Nothing but respect to the rest of that team but that kid needs to humble himself.

Thank you Martin and the rest of my brothers here. We've went through a lot together and I so wish I could hug each and every one of you!

I CAN DIE IN PEACE NOW!

Yep, Mitch is the OG on the squad, paid his dues and made the final play that clinched the championship.

Poetic Justice, all of it

Best part of the team is that they are all likable. No *******s. Except Hart’s thumb.

I'm still waiting on a mix with "Started From the Bottom" because it describes our situation perfectly.

I'm also floored we didn't see Drake pull a Taylor Swift and act like he's a lifelong Knick fan lol
