Maybe for Game 4 we should start Mitch next to Towns and OG up front. They can't start with hack a mitch that early and Wemby would be less likely to get off to a good start and Hart could spark the bench a bit more. We'd have more rebounding and paint protection as well. Hukiporti could sub in when Kornet comes in the game. Twin towers would neutralize Wemby and I am willing to take my chances that Brunson, OG, Bridges could take care of the Spurs smaller players.

no man stay the course and get the team back on motion and ball sharing. take the onus off of jb’s ballhandling

my sentiment 1,000,000%! I love the guy but he's a lost cause right now and I think it's mental. Last night he almost got hit in the side of the head with a pass.

I was glad to see Clarkson come in and not wilt and actually hit some shots. He's not the same guy he was but he's pretty smart and plays well with others, including Mitch.

Deuce has been terrible 80% of the time he has been on the floor. He had one meaningful game during our 12 game streak and has otherwise been an unfocused mess with the ball the majority of the time.

He can still get hot and be a difference maker, but the sample size these playoffs is more than large enough to say he has sucked pretty bad.

Let’s be honest, karma is a bitch. Wimby is gonna get a surprise in game 4 . No flagrant on the Brunson neck grab is disgraceful… it’s time for one of our enforcers to go get him. Hopefully it can be done without the refs seeing it . But it’s coming . A rib shot, a land on foot. A Kobe like slam into Paul . That 22 yo freak of nature needs to be taught a lesson. You don’t get away with doing that to our captain.

Also I have a feeling we use this loss as fuel and blow them out of the water in game 4. KNICKS in 5

Just share the ball, pass out of traps, play through Towns and give the ball to Brunson at the end of the shot clock, not at the beginning. Box out and defend. Take care of the ball( don't throw it away) our best retaliation would be to go up 3:1

I’m a little surprised to be honest. If they just upgraded to what some call the “mush” to an F1 he would have had 3 points and at the brink of suspension aka “cut that **** out”. Now the league office looks like a bunch of clowns and any physicality will be judged relative to the mush by the media and fans. Same too for the Spurs bulldozing of Brunson

The only part not surprising is I already thought the league was run by clowns

Agree 100%. I would say the same of Jose, and have been critical of his pg play, it at least he’s not wilting and afraid of the moment.

If Brown wanted my advice (he shouldn’t) he would tell McBride two things (1) if you have the shot shoot quickly, (2) turn up the D. His on ball defense has been mediocre and he’s having problems w bigger guards, as a smaller guard he should be more disruptive w opponents dribble. I also would not pair him w Jose

The best karma would be a tighter and consistent whistle. The spurs obviously need to play extra physical. The refs have to know they have let the game and series get away from them, and they have to know it’s been a joke eg game 2, second half had 2 FT called by refs excluding challenge.

In game 3 we came out for the second half ready for the same and the refs all of a sudden had a quick whistle calling things they overlooked in the first half and it was all down hill from there

That said I would thouroughly enjoy giving them a taste of their own medicine, and the one I would choose is that baseline blast castle employed on Brunson and which Bryant employed on shai in the prior series. Apparently that’s fair game and a common foul. Time for the big mermaid??

agreed, it wasn't a basketball play.

and all that aside, a flagrant doesn't suspend him, but gives him enough incentive to cut it out and play ball. instead you are setting up the knicks having to retaliate since the league isn't putting an end to it.

If I were the Knicks and in a diabolical mode I would do the mush or the bulldoze to Wemby. I mean how could that be called anything other than a common foul at this point? That said, the better course is to avoid retaliation.

Knicks will get the full weight of any punishment for any retaliation and the Spurs will get a pass for their actions. That's how it works.

Hart will get a tech for pushing Kornet, Mitch will get a tech for fighting for position with Wemby, Brunson will get a flagrant for turning around on Champagne's three.

It will probably be this way until game 6, maybe. That might be enough of an extended series for the NBA to have their fill without public losing all faith in the their product.

Gotta take care of the ball and hit our shots to defy.

I agree with you. Knicks need to focus on what they can control. But you will admit that you'd probably like Spawn of Lambeer/Mahorn on our bench right now, or at least in your thoughts.

If that's not a flagrant, I simply don't understand the rules.

It's an NBA Fight Club level rule: make as much profit as you can by extending the series by as many games as you can.

Silver lining. There's a precedent now on what is not a flagrant foul. We can go ahead and truck Wemby and smush his head with an open hand.
