You either do not understand or seem to have a problem with how open fan forum message boards work. All anyone has to go on in these communities is what is posted and posting histories. If anyone is a flip flopper, especially one who has strong opinions and does not like other posters challenging those opinions they tend to get called to the mat....especially if the flip flopping is fairly recent.
I actually admire Mentality for having a thick skin. He often takes a beating on this board for some overly optimistic takes - like in the 60 win thread. He has also been stalked by Phil about apparently some NYJ takes on some other board.....yet he keeps at is without complaining.

So my take is different. I rather have the freedom to speak and be open and honest in the moment. So I appreciate that with chats. But chats is also where people including myself, will ramble and say something that’s a strong opinion but not aligned to my core values. I will need an example to go any further into that. But for example, maybe I don’t like thibs red shirt that day. A month later I post a picture wearing a red shirt. Am I flip flopping? If that’s what you call it fine. I call it being a human and not a robot. Humans change. And when it’s not aligned to a core value I probably will change. Who knows. But that’s my right. Again just need an example. I’m not going to remember ever ramble which that’s all this is. I ramble in person and ramble in chat. Quickly hit send so that I don’t lose the rambling reply because the site says (please sign in). And I have to start over. So there will be typos and mistakes I type. Give an example and I will respond to that one or two examples.

I hate flip floppers like the next person. Call me out is fine with me. If I remember I will respond to it like I just did to NYK. I stand by my words and give credit where it’s needed.

NYK saying we will win 60 games was fine with me. For you guys I’m guessing it bothered you, or he was wrong. Why does everything have to be wrong or right? He’s a fan and he’s excited in that moment. I rather nyk have that freedom to speak than to be afraid of backlash on a Knicks site. This is why we come here. It’s a safe place to blurt out how you feel. Period. What’s to call out? NYK we didn’t win 60 games. Admit you was wrong? That’s dumb and stupid to me. He was lent wrong he was excited about his team. I wish more people was like him in that aspect. He doesn’t owe anyone an apology. Please.

My only complaint is this copy and pasting stuff is silly if the topic isn’t aligned to anything I feel is important. If it’s important to someone else and they want me to address it I will. And I will clarifying my stance. Because when something is more important to someone else, they will read my words a hell of a lot closer than what I typed. So I have to go backwards and restate what I meant because I say a lot of unfiltered stuff and that’s a no no in an open chat. Face to face it’s nipped in the but eight there. In chat it lives on for ever until someone digs up a grave of memories and challenges every sentence (lmao). That’s all I’m saying. I will not remember every details only that sentence but I will give you my stance on that specific example if you ask me. what I said at that time. That’s what I mean by chat va face to face. Especially pulling out something small in a discussion about a bigger topic. Need an example to explain further.

Panos pretty much summed up my thoughts in his response to you in the JHart thread so no need for me to copy and paste. We all have different posting styles, Personally I just don't see a stream of conscious / only in the moment style as very interesting on a message forum. Situations to me are nuanced with history which makes for much more stimulating discussion and debate. To each their own I guess.

Foos I have to be honest with you………I do not remember what panos said, but based on your bold I respect that and I can see why most prefer that level of chat. And I’m good with that. I have no issues with that. Keep the chat on facts and less on emotional thoughts in that second. All good.

Unfortunately I personally enjoy both ways to chat, and I don’t mind being the only one who does.
One thing I will work on is to not get emotionally charged up when my words are used against me in the future. That comes with the territory.

Posters who talk about facts, stats and things that are historically based and source is valid. I agree 100% with that and that’s probably why this site is so great. Martin is quick to call you out when posting stuff. Not mad at that and appreciate the consistency. I make a living in this space. So I get it.

Fire thibs is a perfect example. A thread created off of instant emotions at the time without putting a lot of thought into. Look how this has grew into all kinds of discussions. Fire thibs was not based on facts but emotions. So obviously there’s going to be emotional responses without coming from facts.

So I’m saying this now. I don’t care if anybody wants to call me out for anything. I’m not going to blow up and derail the thread.

I’ll try to be a good boy moving forward.

I’ll repeat myself in case nobody heard my reply. I was wrong about thibs. He’s a keeper. Same with Randle. Fire thibs wasn’t created by me but I’ve moved on from that thinking. Im all the way on the other side of optimism right now. Sorry to give you guys an ear full.

Thibs is the man period. Win or loss, I’m seeing growth in Randle and the team. Good times to be a knick fan.

Didn't know Thibs phucked with Diamond Dallas Paige like that.

Hofstra is a great school. Congrats on the Law degree. Now I know who to talk to when I need a lawyer against the Hofstra police harassment.

I guess we will forever keep the fire thibs thread alive. So much historical content to pick from. This thread will never die 🤣. Even after thibs brings us a chip!

Hofstra has had some good nfl players over the years. Wayne, Colston, Willie Colon. Colston was I believe a senior my first year there

I never lived on campus. Campus seemed kinda dead to me while I was there and the Uniondale/Hempstead area was not nice

I guess Fire Thibs is another reverse jinx thread of many.

Extend Thibs seems like a no brainer. He's a die hard knicks fan from the early days and now the head coach. Great story / legacy he's building!

PhilC went to Hofstra Law? Now it all makes sense.
Can't confirm a connection with Hofstra U.
Can tell you my pseudonym is an acronym that can describe many on here.
Do have memories of Hofstra. CW Post and Adelphi. Had many friends that went there.
Can tell you Hofstra had a very good basketball coach. One who was known for true development of men. Ran many summer camps. Knew Speedy and trained with some of his former trainers. Also battled Christ the King for four years. Good to see him coaching.

PhilC, you gotta use some of that legal logic to fend off critics.(Me) Or add some relevant stats to your legal arguments. What year did you graduate?

You're just now realizing this?

We've known since dating back to his Jeff Van Gundy days how he's been a die-hard Knicks fan throughout his entire childhood. He used to always rave about it.

It's why it's pissed me off when Knicks fans have trashed him.

We get to 50+ wins? He's becoming one of only 3 other NBA Coaches to ever win 3 Coach of the Year awards.

You said that Brunson was a bigger all-time fan favorite than Walt Frazier. You blame the fans for a trade that Ewing pushed.

Where the **** do you get off lecturing anyone on being a Knicks fan?

Do you even listen to yourself? Let me ask you a question young man. Does being an assistant coach make you a die hard knicks fan?

Aren't you a fan? Have you ever been a coach? Being a coach doesn't make you a knick fan smart guy. Listen to his story please before you hit enter in your chat. He was a fan way before he was a coach. So if you going to call me out, please be accurate.
