Say we get pick 4 or 5 -- one trade down scenario with ATL: pick 4 or 5 for Dennis Schroder, Mike Muscala, pick 15 and pick 59. Who even knows if ATL would do that -- Is that asking for too much? Not enough? I remember Briggs mentioning Walter Tavares -- would he need to be included? ATL's got a lot of interesting young pieces -- what would equal fair value for pick 4 or 5?

The way Phil's openly mentioned trading the pick at 4 or 5, I wonder if he already has solid deals on the table...I'd give anything to know what those might be..

For reference for tonight's lottery, here's the order of teams:

14. OKC
13. Phoenix
12. Utah
11. Indy
10. Miami
9. Charlotte
8. Detroit
7. Denver
6. Sacramento
5. Orlando
4. LAL
3. Philly
2. NYK
1. Minnesota

Only picks 1-3 are decided by lottery; 4-14 are based on record (and trades but, for once, that won't affect us). The NBA's going to announce the order of the draft starting with pick 14. If any teams get skipped that means they have a top 3 pick, i.e. the NBA announces OKC at 14 and then Utah at 13 that means Phoenix is picking somewhere in the top 3. Let's hope everything goes well and we at least end up with a top 3 pick! Tonight and draft night will be the most important two days for the Knicks probably since the 2000 ECF.

we're sort of ok with a top 4 pick... it's that #5 pick which would be disastrous but not the end of the world....

#1 should be towns with ok4, russell and winslow in some order... after that it's a crapshoot but lot of interesting names...

The draft lottery is at 830 on ESPN.

EDIT: And considering that the actual announcement would never take 30 minutes, you probably don't need to turn in prior to 845 at the earliest.

Pretty nervous. This is probably our most important night in a long time which is pretty sad lol. However if we somehow win the lottery it will be worth it
