we were 19-5 at one point so 2-5 is not something to be happy about. The defense has gotten worse as well as the rebounding. We play the spurs next so i dont expect to win that

I was tame compared to other years and I hurt right now... I could only imagine how drinking with Jason Kidd or going to a titty bar with JR Smith would turn out

Well I feel bad for STAT he will probably get killed tomorrow. Brewer needs to sit and Copeland needs to play. Start James White snd Cope.

It looks like Kidd can't play extended minutes as a PG. First game he was good but after that been going down hill.

Stat had some moments (offensively) and will come around (I think)

Defensively, he was right back to game form

Remember when we held teams under 100 hell even under 90 the first few weeks of the season. Defense is Pitiful now

No one can really blame him for the rust on offense, but he was his usual bad self on defense. He contributed to the defensive malaise in the first half.

Playing Kidd/Prigoni/Brewer this many minutes isn't the long term plan.

Once Felton and Shump are back, expect the defense to get much better. Ditto with Sheed.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

Father Figured they'd go in

The Melo one was actually a good shot and the best they will get in that situation. Our best chance to tie.

Like it or not.

The JR one? Eeeeeesh.

24sec left plenty of time. Could have played for the 2 so I beg to differ that was the best shot he could get, especially since the basket prior to he went to the hole for an And1.

Typical Hero Ball type of shot

But as we've been told when you need someone to take the last second shot when the game is close you better have a Carmelo Anthony...

I hope fans are letting it sink in as I've always maintained....WE DON'T WANT TO PLAY GAMES WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO A LAST SECOND SHOT

Instead I want to be leading the game by a few possessions if possible. Last second shots at best you're going to convert about 30% of them and those are of the elite players, which means you're clanking most for losses.

Tyson was having a hard time with blocking out LaMarcus. The Knicks overall just were their TYPICAL FLAT after a long layoff. Also it seems like this is going to be a real test for Woody to show he's got some offensive chops, cuz he's got to come up with some stuff that will work without Felton and with STAT in the Mix. At times you could see there was confusion out there. I look at this game as a needed practice session of sorts.

The problem is that i dont know if we will survive another 4-5 weeks of this type of play from them. I mean if we are getting killed by the Kings/Portland than we are gonna get beat worst by the spurs and celtics

Since when has teams not gone through bad stretches?? Yes we have started a lot of games with little intensity, but when the team is locked in, we see that the defense is not all that bad as some would like to think. We have had tons of injures... and still able to keep a good record. I expect not to get any slack from outsiders, but this should be acknowledged by our fanbase. Clearly ... Melo and Brewer are playing banged up. Camby still working himself back into shape. No Wallace or Felton and people act like it's the end of the world. SMH

Papabear Says

No defense is a map for failure. Maybe the Knicks were out partying till this morning. But every time we play a team we should beat someone on the other team have a record game. We need to watch how the Bulls defend. They are right up on the shooters. We seem to have trouble with young fast teams. Oh well, lets get ready for the Spurs.
